I don’t think any of us really have the money to buy all new products. Any way we can try to disinfect them, even though you said it’s best to just throw them away? Hopefully you understand where I’m coming from, as the combined cost of all my eye products is more than $200.

Im currently on the tail end of a viral conjunctivitis infection and the ER doc who diagnosed me said I don't have to throw out my makeup 🤷‍♀️ that being said I haven't worn makeup since I woke up with the infection but idk what to think now

I have bacterial pink eye,it's frustrating because I wash my hands a lot,don't share make-up. Have been given three different bottles of drops. Can I at least wear eye-shadow and mascara that wasn't used when itchy?

if i buy a new tube of mascara and use that for a while (at least 6 months) will i be able to use the "infected mascara then? i was curious if the bacteria would be gone by then since there was so much time in between it

I didn't have pink eye symptoms until 2 days after I wore my makeup last. Is it still safe to wear the eye makeup that I'm not sure is contaminated? it's brand new makeup less than a week old that I can't throw away without being 100% positive. One is a brand new expensive eyeshadow palette and the other is new liquid eyeliner that does not go in the water line and lastly false lashes that I have only worn twice. Confusion.

@@Farah-ss4hj I disinfected the eyeshadow palette with rubbing alcohol and Lysol wipes but to be safe I didn't use the false lashes or liquid liner again. Pink eye didn't return.

I first got symptoms at night after makeup removal. I’m not sure if this means I still need to get rid of my eye makeup? Or is this eye makeup ok because it never touched my eyes when symptomatic?

I cleaned my brushes in 50% white vinegar and 50% water. It seemed to do the trick because my pink eye didn't return.

I would absolutely clean those after having an eye infection. Any sponges should be thrown away and brushes can be cleaned really well.

Never said how long to wait for infection to clear up before reapplying the new makeup. A fundamental part of this advice video

Sorry but I’m not throwing away and re buying 179 dollars worth of just makeup and more with brushes I am going to wear it still and I don’t care if I get it again that can’t just be replaced
