I have weak vision by birth but by the time my vision gets worse now my glass power is -8.5 on both eyes ...i really hate wearing thick layered glass is there any solution to recover eyesight ?
that's because the drug companies ARE the FDA. have been since the '80s, thanks to Ronnie Ray-gun. before him, the drug companies had to constantly bribe the FDA in order to get their way. RR saved big pharma a lot of money, he did. he should be on mt rushmore.
The only reason is that the drug companies won't do the research on it to bring to the FDA, and with good reason. It costs $2.5B to bring a drug to market. Most drugs fail somewhere along the way, so that money also needs to be recouped somewhere. But be aware that I am not trying to defend the drug companies here. While they are forced to pay a lot to bring a drug to market, at the same time this keeps other companies from popping up and competing with them. The FDA is working to limit competition. Drug companies pay for protection and pass that cost on to consumers.
My right eye got hit by a soccer ball on August 15, 2023. I saw several eye doctors but finally found one who detected a retina tear. The retina tear caused a PVD and a huge big black floater that looks like a worm. After getting my retina tear fixed, I began drinking a glass of pineapple juice every day, followed by a small serving of fresh pineapples after lunch and dinner. Fast forward to Septemeber 2023, the big floater has become significantly smaller and lighter in color. I'll be going for a follow-up checkup next week. Hopefully, everything goes well.
J Segal I have those gelatinous looking ones AND the black “bugs”. I have AMD in both eyes as well as Glaucoma in both eyes. I have had the wet AMD in my right eye for 16 yrs and have had an injection every 4 was since then. I would always have more black floaters after my shot and the Dr said it was blood which didn’t away within days. Then my left eye went from dry to wet AMD and I have begun shots in that eye also every 5 weeks. Since that time, the little black bugs have become 3D! I can actually see some of them closer and some further away giving them a 3 dimensional appearance. WHY? My dr.says he’s never heard of that and I wonder if I’m actually seeing this or if it’s an optical illusion.. o something like double vision. Does anyone else have the 3D black spots? They are very small compared to the black spot that shows up directly after my injection, but I never saw this anomaly (3D) until I began receiving injections in both eyes. Actually, the gelatinous floaters (2) in my right eye are so bad, the will actually block a letter on the eye chart, and when trying to read with a magnifier, if the move into my sight line the can block a whole word. They look just like your example at the beginning of this lecture. If you know more about this 3D or how to look around the larger floaters, I’d appreciate any help. Thanks, Connie
About ten years ago I remember looking into a blue sky and being disturbed by how bad the floaters were. Around 2015 I decided I liked making smoothies and got whole pineapple which I cut up to keep in the freezer along with other fruits and veggies. Purely unscientific, but I'm now 55 and my eyes are very clear.
For those wondering, three slices of whole pineapple at 120 grams each equals roughly 0.75 lb. Because the core is hard to eat, it is best to just put it in a blender with some water and make a drink out of it. Pineapples are 10% sugar, so 360 grams (0.75 lb) will give you about 36 grams of sugar.
Fruit sugar is different from other sugar, the rules are not really the same as adding granulated sugar would be from what I have assimilated from videos etc. Maybe im wrong always check with an expert.

I've learned to live and enjoy my eye floaters, my right eye happens to have a dragon shaped floater which I named Edwin. When I'm in class or at work and I'm bored, I play optical tag with Edwin.
@@Luhaim @Siny Dominic I am going through that now. Multiple floaters with flashes of light occasionally. My eye dr is sending me to a retina specialist this week as this is nothing to fool with especially if it comes on suddenly because it can be an indication or lead to a retinal tear or detachment and vision loss. Treatment could include laser or cryo surgery. I am surprised this doctor isn't telling people to check with their dr. I wish you well.
I did try this the morning after having 2 new floaters in my left eye yesterday. I ate too much of the pineapple thought I believe because I did have my mouth hurt, But, the worst part was that after I ate supper, my belly started hurting read bad for over an hour & then I had diarrhea. As I read up on pineapple, I learned that too much of the enzyme, Bromelain, can cause both of these symptoms. Please be careful to NOT eating too much!!
I'm 54 years old and I've had a large stationary floater blocking the fovea in my left eye for about 5 years. After seeing this video last year I decided to try a bromelain supplement, as fresh pineapple gives me mouth ulcers. I took 2-500mg capsules a day for 120 days. At the end of my "scientific study" the bromelain had broken down the darkest parts of the floater and what little was left had settled below the fovea. The vision in my eye is almost back to normal. The only downside of taking the supplement is that the bromelain doesn't differentiate between eye floaters and collagen in the skin. I noticed that the skin on my forearms and hands looked thin and crepey after taking the supplement. It is because of this that I am on the fence about taking another round of the supplement to get rid of the rest of the floater. One thing to note is that processed pineapple (juice and canned slices) are pasteurized and the heat treatment of the product denatures the bromelain, so you will need to use fresh pineapple, or a supplement to get any benefits from this treatment. As always, YMMV.
I've had floaters for so long, when I was a toddler looking up at the sky I thought I was looking at air bubbles. I'm used to them now. Some look like worms and others like little round "air bubbles." Sometimes they form perfect equilateral or isosceles triangles. It's rare to be able to look at them directly, as they're always sliding away. I'll eat some pineapple and test this out.
That's interesting because as a kid I would look at the sky and see similar "bubbles" but they move fast and appear to move to a single point. Like tunnel vision.
@@DoctorEyeHealth I think that you could probably see that best gazing at the clear blue sky away from the sun. Maybe the light from that source is polarized or something. I have speculated that the paths that they take are vasculature in the retina, and that the bubbles are white blood cells. Maybe the red blood cells are too small or transparent to see that way.
Of course I was sceptical, but I tried it. Most surprised it actually worked for me. I ate fresh pineapple and drank the raw juice for a month or so. The floaters disappeared! I have reduced pineapple intake to raw juice 2 or 3 times a week. Thanks very much as I'm 77 and suffered floaters for 20 - 30 years.
I thought eye floaters were normal until watching this video because I've had them for as long as I can remember. I was watching this video and realized that I haven't noticed them recently. I started eating pineapple/mango smoothies for breakfast every morning starting a month or so ago. I'm wondering if that's why I stopped noticing floaters.
I used to believe in the primacy of diet in health, but my experiences--by way of overwhelming illness with which doctors only added to my frustration ... and my earnest quest for well-being that ensued--I have come to believe our environment plays a larger role, with the primary influencer being our own energy fields. Yes, minimizing toxin exposure is great, as is organ and system cleansing, but we are powerful energy manipulators. So much so that we can undermine health with a belief or emotions. Just a thought.💞
I have been eating pineapple since I got my first floaters 6 months ago and I have just started to see a big improvement so Happy it does work don’t get discouraged 🍍🍍
I have been drinking pineapple juice and eating canned pineapple since last July plus taking vitamins and it is almost gone there has to be something to it try it
Hello Doc! Since you've mentioned Bromelain from the Pineapple, would taking the Bromelain be the same instead of eating Pineapple? That's kind of weird for me to ask this question since I've always preferred natural cure from fruits and vegetables over modern medicines.
Started consuming fresh cut pineapple on a daily basis a few months ago after seeing this video and my floaters are already almost completely gone now. Thanks for the tip.
I’ve had floaters all my life and hated them. After losing vision in one eye from a hole in my retina, the floaters upset me even more. I’m going to try this. Wish me luck!
I had many floaters for many years and then went on gluten-free diet (no wheat, oats, barley rye) and read labels carefully. I was looking get rid of back pain inflammation and "wheat belly" which happened within only 3 months. What I hadn't expected was to see my eye floaters disappear. Gone. I was amazed. Read into it. Inflammation is key, and gluten-caused inflammation is a plague. Bromelaine makes sense as an anti inflammatory, but I suggest getting off all pasta, breads, oats, and every form of gluten - your health will improve dramatically. I also used to get serious colds/flu 3-4 times a year ... since being gluten free I literally have not had any colds or flu in over 4 years - astonishing to me - thought you'd like to know ...
Inflammation is the cause of a lot of ills. I did what you did for tinnitus and it receded. I went back to eating carbs and it resurfaced. Now the floaters. Are you still doing well on your diet and did you incorporate bromelian? Thanks.

I am so happy to hear that pineapple (bromalaine) can reduce my floaters! Thank you! I have a doctor who recommends eating pineapple after surgeries to reduce inflammation. God has provided so many natural things to help us!
Last week Walmart had whole fresh pineapples on sale for one dollar! I bought some and ate a half cup pineapple every day for a week.it really did help the eye floaters! But as a surprise bonus, an eye twitch that I’ve had for months is also gone! I am amazed!
How to cut a pineapple: Hold horizontally and take out the top and bottom of the fruit. Hold vertically and start cutting the skin in stripes (trying not to take too much of the pulp out). Bromelain in the thorns and leaves can be an irritant. After that, cut in rondelles and eat. N.B. if the heart of the slice it's too hard, don't eat it; it's not mature enough and the Bromelain will cause temporary swelling of the tongue and lips in some people.
had floaters from eye injury for 4 weeks, followed your pineapple directions, made sure I eat the core, eat only one slice and 4 hours latter I noticed the floaters were almost gone. pineapple worked fast. When I watched your video I was skeptical, but more, it works
You failed to mention that the pineapple has to be raw, rather than canned. Canning heats the fruit and changes the enzyme structure, which is why you can't put raw pineapple in jello--it won't gel because the enzymes change the gelatin protein.
@@human777 - If you are talking like in a fruit platter yes that is fine, they didn't do any more then cut the fruit for you. If you are talking, cooked, dried, frozen or canned, then no.
I've been trying this out for about 2 months with occasional pineapple eating and it seems to have lessened the amount of floaters I have/make them less noticeable. However they're still definetly there
As a researcher, when I see the kind of medical research that gets published it gives me pause: The quality of the study could have been enhanced greatly by the addition of a no-treatment control group, which could easily have been done. (I don’t think the sample size was that small, especially for a pilot.) But what was really surprising was the results section...do good medical journals really not require research to report test statistics? They allude to doing an ANOVA, but don’t report means or statistics. It looks more like a chi-squared test scenario-but who could tell? In any case, if they just reported more specifics, that would help a lot to know if we should run out and buy as supplement. (If they kept their data, it’s an easy fix.)
hey thanks Cynthia for the great comment. Yes, this study really isn't that great and in fact, I don't know any higher respected medical journals in optometry or ophthalmology that accept this study. It was an interesting publication, and at the very least, I was just happy to see something...on the lines to find an alternative to eye floaters treatment. Hopefully more and even better studies will come.
… it never ceases to amaze me, people who require extensive testing to prove something that anecdotally can give you even better data … so , just be stubborn and refuse to believe your lying eyes … 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Cynthia is right on the money. Where is the no-treatment control group? Pineapple may well be effective, but this study is gravely undermined by this basic omission. After all, the "no-treatment" is the same as "wait and see if it resolves on it's own", which is one of the options that @DoctorEyeHealth mentions as a standard practice.
I've had floaters since I don't know when their population has increased rapidly whenever I go outside I look at sky--floaters to be specific they come in different size, shape and intensity I shake my head to see them move. They are so many and I think they are the reason for my vision deterioration.
I had a retinal detachment 4 years ago when I was 17 following an elbow to the eye playing football. Following sceral buckle surgery and a vitroctomy I noticed loads of floaters which are honestly so frustrating and demoralising. I am going to try this natural method myself, and will let you know if I notice an subjective changes! :)
@@Rob_Thorsman yep.. I was discharged from hospital saying I didn’t have a retinal detachment … these floaters and flashing lights were still there and I’d lost peripheral vision. I had to beg to go back to be seen again, and once I did… they found the detachment.
@@nimenialtul25 hi mate, I struggled to stick to the protocol, but did massively increase my intake of pineapple! I have to say I did notice less floaters… hard to tell whether placebo or real as i don’t have a method to objectively assess it… however I would definitely recommend it :)

My ophthalmologist said that if the pineapple was dissolving floaters, wouldn’t it also dissolve other tissue? How would it target only the vitreous in the eyes?
Some years ago I went on a fruit-only diet for 5 or 6 days (all kinds of fruit) as an experiment in weight loss and I definitely noticed clearer vision as a benefit.

Two months ago I watched this video. I tried the pineapple thing, it works 100% my floaters are almost gone. Drink the juice as well. What happens is, after about a month the floaters will start to become extremely transparent, then will shrink, and either vanish or become so small and faded, that you cant see them at all. Been eating fresh chopped pineapple for 1 year daily now and my floaters have not changed. My diet is full of fruit, fish, veg and no alcohol or junk food. I notice floaters are more prominent when I read something in black on a white background.
wow. Thats a lot of dedication with no results! :( At least with the floaters. Have you considered the pills? I wonder if that would give a higher dosage of the effective ingredients
I don't know about the US, but here in Brazil is quite normal for people to have a home kichen scale, they are very cheap and ease to use, plus is more precise then using cups what makes it better for coking, specially in confectionery
Start with a Fully Ripe Pineapple. The one you have in the video is hard as a rock and completely GREEN. The outside should be mostly yellow/golden. The bottom center should be able to give slightly to pressure, such as a finger pushing gently on the center bottom. Cut the outside off. Be sure all of the spiny/dark bits are removed. Cut off the bottom as close as possible so as not to waste any of the pineapple. Do the same with the top. Stand the Pineapple up. Find the core. Generally speaking the core will be uniform in size from top to bottom. Using the core as a guide, slice down the Pineapple along side of the core. Rotate the Pineapple and continue the process. Cut the pieces into manageable sticks or bite size pieces. If the Pineapple is Very Ripe the core can be cut into small pieces and chewed. Swallowing the core is not recommended. However, the fiber will correct that action quickly and aggressively. It's the Aggressively part that is the reason swallowing is not recommended. Here in Florida we like to put the sticks in the freezer then eat them like Popsicles. We do the same thing with Watermelon. Aunt B
Crazy coincidence. I have been drinking breakfast smoothies with pineapple the last few weeks and I noticed that my floater was getting less visible. How cool is that!
Well if the FDA hasn't approved Bromelaine , then it most definitely works!!!😁 I'm going to give it a try , and the funny thing is , my wife just out of the blue bought two pineapples yesterday 😁 Hmmm 🤔must've been meant to be be for me to run across this video , look out floaters , here comes the Pineapple !!!
What might be at issue here is the amount of sugar that is in pineapple. Taking the bromelein itself might be a better option especially for those with high blood sugar levels.
You know I been eating pineapple almost daily for breakfast for the last 2 years, usually frozen and I blend it into a drink with blueberry's and banana's. I use to have a lot of floaters and now that you mention it in this video, I haven't really seen much of any for some time, today/right now NO floaters.
Before I uncovered the eye floaters treatment EyeFloatersCure45.blogspot.in I did everything to eliminate my eye-floaters such as eye comfort, solutions, washes, and more. None proved helpful. It does what it claims to do, period. I am now completely free of eye floaters!
I have a floater in my right eye the size of a pineapple! Gonna try this. I really do have many floaters in both eyes. Seen them since I was a young kid.
That's because you took bromelain pills which only have bromelain. Pineapple also has papain which works in conjunction with bromelain. And, anything in powdered state is never as strong as in original natural state....in ANYTHING. Even tumeric has more benefits in just juiced from a juicer than in powdered state.
When i was a weee lad i had a whole freshly cut pineapple to myself and my tongue started bleeding. My physician said that particular enzyme brolaine (however its spelled) can dissolve the protecive mucus membrane of the mouth and digestive tract. Don't overdo it and keep in mind pineapples cut 4h+ ago have oxidized enzymes its effectiveness may have spoiled.
I’m 59 years old. 2 years ago I started having floaters and flashes that were extremely annoying. I saw this video 2 years ago and I did the experiment with the pineapples. I actually made smoothies so I could use the stem as well. After several months the floaters and flashes were completely gone. I stopped drinking my pineapple smoothies. Well the floaters and flashes just came back. I came back to this video and now I am starting with my pineapple smoothies again. Thanks Dr Allen for sharing this information. You are awesome!
I've just turned 60, and DITTO! ... Floaters and flashes in my right eye! EDIT: I've started eating Pineapple every day. my floaters started about 5 years ago. I am now 71. For the last year I have been following Anthony Williams Medical Medium, drinking lemon water, celery juice every day. Several months ago, I started taking quercetin with bromelain for my sinus problems. Not only did it help with my sinuses, but my floaters have improved considerably.
what helped my floaters was almost always wearing 'shade' lens so even watching TV inside was muted. Also, definitely practicing the 20/20 rule .. if you do 20 minutes of tablet/computer screen/even book reading/ spend at least 20 seconds focussing on an item at least 20 feet away ... not just stopping the close work but actively focusing i.e. look out a window at a garden and focus on various plants/leaves/trees minimum 20 feet away

Bromelain is heat-labile and denatured when cooked. Canned pineapple would not contain bromelain. Bromelain can also degrade in the presence of high acidity such as the gastric tract. The optimal pH for preserving Bromelain is 7.0. The stomach would be certain to break Bromelain down.

Actually Bromelain is essentially a ‘flesh eating’ enzyme.... it’s the Bromelain content in fresh pineapple that fu*ks your mouth up when you eat too much. Source? Life experience of it in Bali which urged me to research the phenomenon. Bonus trivia: Pineapple in tins/cartons etc. is pasteurised as the heating process neutralises the Bromelain. Super bonus trivia: The “flesh eating” enzymatic properties of Bromelain are why it is also used as a meat tenderiser. The question really at stake here is.... Do you eat the fresh pineapple or does the fresh pineapple eat you? 😄

Actually the same method worked for my sister's ringing ears. She was told not to stress over it, ignore it and it worked. Before she was always stressed out about it, now she tells everyone just to ignore it.
@@paulgill7222 unfortunately mine are starting to settle more and more in the eye line … I think I might need an op … either Yag Vitreolysis or a Vitrectomy
I grew up in Hawaii. We never removed the core from the pineapple. We also cut the pineapple too to bottom, so each slice was a long, thin wedge, containing the long section of core at the ridge of the wedge. We also used salt to cut the acidity!
I know bromelaine helps with loosening mucus from bronchitis, which often is protein based from the disease process, so if it helps with floaters I'll definitely try it! Thank you for sharing this information!
This is true, I caught a horrible SARS virus in 2017. And had a terrible dry cough that lasted months. Until I had a natural craving for pineapple and ate 2 pineapples in the course of a few days. That helped towards my recovery.
Thank you! I have floaters and recently one popped up just to the right of my focal vision, right eye. Please let us know if the same results can be achieved with bromelian in supplemental form. I’m one of those people that can’t eat fresh pineapple but I absolutely love it.
Just ordered capsule form of a brand that had great reviews on Amazon. Seems this supplement is good for joint pain, inflammation, sinus congestion, and breathing as well. Looking forward to giving it a try.
Hi, Chris. I applied liquid MSM on my eyes, and the floaters were gone within hours. You can also take MSM (MethylSulfonylmethane) in crystal form, prepared for human consumption, dissolved in water. Available via Amazon. Taking sulfur has a myriad of wonderful benefits because it transports oxygen to our cells, and then takes out “the trash” (the waste) from the cells. Good luck!
@@khantuta I’m on my second bottle of MSM eye drops (2 drops in each eye 2x per day) and I’m still hoping for some results but no change so far over the course of approximately 3 months. I will continue for at least 3 more months with all fingers and toes crossed. I’m taking Lutien and have taken astaxanthin and need to get another bottle of the latter.🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
It worked for me. I incurred a trauma to my right eye about 9 months ago, and soon after noticed a small cluster of floaters to the upper right of my eye which spread to the point where I had more floaters than I could count. I had my eyes examined by the optician who said fortunately the retina was not damaged, but the floaters are common when you get older and the trauma could well have played a role. They did not recommend any of he treatments, and said the success rate was low could cause other issues in some cases. I then tried pineapple, I ate about one slice a day. I did this for a couple of weeks, but did not expect it to work. I actually did not notice any improvement, so eventually stopped. A few weeks later, I noticed they had virtually all gone. I have to consciously pay attention to the few remaining to notice them, while before, I could not there was so many and so pronouced that they were impossible to ignore.
@@wavetoearf Still good. Virtually no floaters! I have to actively try to spot the one or two faint ones remaining, whereas before there were more than I could count. It was actually quite scary for me, my vision in my left eye has always been poor, but my right eye was my good eye, and now still is thank goodness. I am still eating pineapples. Not every day, but have included it as a fairly regular part of my diet. I buy whole pineapples and cut one slice per day. I do a couple of days in a row, break for a day and continue. Some weeks I do not have any. I have continued to buy pineapples because I do actually love it as a fruit. I cannot say it will work for everyone, but for me, it seems to have done the trick.
In 2009 I had two pituitary surgeries at MD Anderson, and upon waking, had an incredible craving for pineapple. I ordered some with every meal. The nutritionist noticed and came by to visit, saying "your body is craving the anti-inflammatory properties of bromelain, let's get you a supplement."
Mine got worse after going on a sugar free diet for 14 months. I never eat fake sugars, high frutose corn syrup, or any other chemical frankenstein sugars. This was simply a diet free of the sugar cane processed white sugar. Since I was already organic and natural in diet, and prepared all my own food, (no restaurant or packaged food) from simple natural ingredients, it was easy to control the sugar. Natural sugars (carbohydrates) were not excluded, so natural sugars occurring in exp: potatoes, apples, honey, pure maple syrup, were included in the diet.
Thank you for this video! I have a patient with eye floaters and I guess this video came to my attention because Google spies on us! I love pineapple anyway and I know bromelaine has a lot of great healing properties
