This is a pair of Titanium frames that were repaired with the Orion pulse arc welder. When welding titanium frames with the Orion, it is very helpful to have Silver wire, as a fill wire. As seen in this video, we had to use the Silver wire to strengthen the hinge that was broken. When welding the bridge back together, it is often very helpful to add Silver there as well. With these specific frames, the Titanium welded well enough together that we did not use Silver on the bridge. Call Sunstone Engineering and Orion Welders with any questions.

nice, but the fix looked pretty obvious on both pairs of glasses. I'm looking into this for a possible fix - I saw another vid where the fix was undetectable. But still cool that you can make these kinds of fixes.

piashantee Thanks. Yes, these fixes were more obvious. We just wanted to show that it can be done on Titanium. These repairs require more detailed polishing in order for the welds to not be noticeable. Would this have still worked if the break was where the bridge meets the frame? So exactly where the bridge meets the frame part that surrounds the lense?
