Celebrating the fact that I've had a video reach 1 million views for the first time. This is a recolouring of the same video zooming to the same point. The original Eye of the Universe video is the only video I've made that has appeared on TV, it was included in the "The Big Bang Theory", which was pretty cool! Please subscribe if you haven't already, and if you have been subscribed since the original was released, may I say a huge thank-you.
The original "Eye of the Universe" is here: • Eye of the Universe - ...
Reviewing this video, I realised that this is not an area of the Mandelbrot I visit so often, and I probably wouldn't normally colour it like this. So, let me know what you think.
The thumbnail, and the "eye" images occur near the end of the video.

Did real good in the beginning in that we kept seeing new mini bugs, but then had to wait all the way to the end to see one last bug.... That bugs me!!!

i'm actually really curious, was this due to a new algorithm techinque?

It's actually colour cycling, just moving really slow. (The colour palette is offset slightly each frame). Same idea as trip to infinity. Also, check out 12 dimensions reversed, it's pretty similar.

This is the best Mandelbrot zoom I have seen yet. The harmony of whorls and dendrites made the most amazing and dense patterns imaginable. It looked like they were fighting as hard as they could to stay visible as the rings of sleep took over in the termination tunnel. Why is the endpoint minibrot surrounded by resolution limited chaos all the time? What is the structure like at higher resolution? That is hardly self similar to the the top level smooth gradient. Ideas? Answers from already knowing why? Also, you gave me my wish of having a zoom offset from the central symmetry for much of the time. It's much more engaging for me when you can't exactly tell where you are about to dive into a pattern. You think you're there and somehow you still see that you're still "out in the open." I got sad at 30' when we centered up on the overall (local) symmetry, but shouted, "Yes!" when we veered away again at 50'. Nice touch! This seems like a good zoom to have the community consider, ignore, ridicule, some of my ponderings. Frequently, one only sees the first and last brots. Here there were about 4 that appeared early on and flew by and off the edge of the field of view. I've been wondering if there is an optimal choice of C to encounter the most minibrots along the way. [technobabble:] I've just now thought what about C = (x close to -2, 0i)? Would you see lots of minibrots on the x axis come up and zoom off to the right? You'd have to find the sweet spot where you weren't too far to -2 where you could waste a lot of time for the y=0 features to get big enough to see. Or too far right where you could end up in the middle of a minibrot and never see anything again? This zoom is limited to a typical deep dive resolution so you don't have to count to infinity and your possible values of C are finite. Does the rate at which you see minibrots fundamentally change over time? Does the self similarity keep this rate constant? I haven't used any fractal software since FRACTINT and a program I wrote then to make IFS fractals probably in FORTRAN77. Gradient based colorizing? Animation? Rendering with shading? Not even! I've been on other things for a while. [end technobabble] So, again, Mr. Maths, well done! a.

I love these videos. Is there any chance of you making a 180 degree with depth video? I usually watch these videos in VR and I think a video with 3rd depth would be awesome.
