Captain 11 is a legend in my book. Growing up in the 70's & 80's he was my go to. ❤

I can recall watching Dave Dedrick in the afternoons in the late '50s and through the mid-1960s on KELO/KPLO (Translator Station at Reliance) when I would spend the summers with my grandparents in Geddes, South Dakota. Used to get a kick out of watching "Captain Eleven" late afternoons. Nothing similar to that in the Omaha area and do recall Dave also doing the late news at 10:00 pm weather. There was also a sportscaster, whom I recall was a stalwart there at KELOland and was on the air for many decades. Can't recall his name but do remember his face. When this sportscaster retired, even the Omaha CBS sister station made a comment about his retirement.
