This week we cover the ambitious Billy Idol ballad "Eyes Without a Face". The original recording has lots of little touches, some of which we try to incorporate (hand claps become guitar chord strums, descending synth bends are done with a Whammy pedal, piano notes during verse 2 are played on ukulele). This is Jim's first real attempt at singing lead, which he does for the ballad section. Sonali sings the middle section rap while Jim keeps busy with Steve Stevens' cool guitar riff.

This song was recorded in a single take, with no overdubs, although some audio effects (such as echo) were added in post-production.
