Let us be fair so that genuine cases get justice. I think if bar dances are added in films for profits, then the content of the film is not powerful enough. We watch crime patrol and saavdhan India without those titillating dances. If the actress cannot wear the outfit in day to day life, fearing cat calls, that is the point she needs to object. If she is not likely to dance in that way outside the sets, then she needs to say no at that point of time. Look at the two anchors. Man wears full clothes, lady shoulderless. Why is it that men are fully dressed most of the time, and women's fashions are such that they encourage exposure? Why do we say dosh dress mein nahin, soch mein hai when we ourselves know that if we walked outside with those clothes somebody is going to opt for bottom pinching. Why are we supporting fashion designers with that. I do not say girls shouldn't wear what they want to. By all means. But be sure that it does not result in risk as probability of some guy finding the clothes titillating is high. The attire should facilitate running, and kicking back hard if need be. Those chunnis and sarees are such handicaps as are skinny jeans, and shorts as well as tight dresses. Has Tanushree Dutta never been troubled sexually by unknown person? Strange because every girl goes through it a couple of times. When a girl decides against wearing some attire in public place because she fears bad behavior, then she knows that the dress is sufficiently provocative. To think that such an attire will not provocate the person just because he is a colleague is expecting too much. Time women tried to be fair in all this so that it does not fizzle out as false blame and baseless blame as there are genuine cases that need to be considered. I don't say that what Nana Patekar has allegedly done is not wrong. It is. But if I were the judge I would expect the girl to have said no to attire and the type of choreography which would have set the boundaries. I do understand that the girl was young and did not know where to draw lines. This is what that needs to be taught by parents and in schools. At the best I would get Patekar to apologize. An eyewitness is someone who was present during an incident not someone who heard and confirmed the story. If you hear the part where janice says that the parents came on after 9 to pick Tanushree up but in Tanushree's interview her parents came because she called them and they were there for a good 3-4 hours talking to Producers and stuff.. I find both the extremes silly - one that is proving Nana wrong out of emotional and the one that is projecting Tanushree as a bad woman. In most cases men are wrong but there are many cases where the innocents one get trapped. All I know and have heard about Nana is that he is pretty rude but not a sleazy person.
