"Maybe they like a little rope with their morning coffee." I just lost it at that. I know you didn't mean it in a dark way, but for people that have to wake up early its a real struggle.
Hey CGB just wanted to say that I think you're a great MTGA RU-vidr. I like your insight into every move you make, it has really helped me become a better player myself. You do this in a very cool and relaxed way and I find this very respectable. People like Jeff Hoogland or whatever are really cocky and I find that very obnoxious, and he disses on Trump during his games and that pisses me off. So yea, you're talking about encouragement rather than criticism in the last video helped remind me that you have feelings too so I just want to say you're a cool guy, keep up the good work, and thank you. Congratulations on getting married, I wish you luck on starting a family.
Wow! Green is soooooo good right now. I'm a big fan of mono color decks so, I really like the direction you're taking your channel in right now. Keep it up.
Fun deck. Green is pushed for sure. Question, what do you think differentiates Stompy from Ramp? Had some discussions with peeps I know but it's still a pretty vague distinction to me. Does a deck playing 8 mana dorks make it a ramp deck? Does it need to have 5 and 6+ drops to ramp into for it to be a ramp deck? I would like to hear your thoughts on this matter.
I know this video has been out for 2 months, but i really want to make a mono-green deck (mainly because it was the colour of my first ever deck in magic long, long ago), and this one seems really good, but Once Upon a Time has been removed from the game... does this mean that this deck is no longer amazing, or is there a proper replacement for that card? thx anyway even if you don't read this CGB, i love your vids!
Okay, so the _lore_ of the goose, in Magic, deduced by the mechanics, is that it can either lay a normal egg, or a golden egg. This is decided by wether you use the food token as food (to gain 3 lives) or as a treasure token (to get a mana). So there, now you know.
HI Cgb first of all thanks for your amazing content, second I know that you recently mentioned in one of your videos a "spiky"podcast that you often listen to but I can't recall the name. Can you help me with that please?
Should have crafted some more Fields of the Dead. Didn't even think about that and unfortunately I didn't click the video until now. I had 2 from opening boosters already. It's not a big deal though, I'm not sure I'm gonna be using them anytime soon.
Incredible. I can’t wait for big red and other funky junk from that color. Super curious to see some unorthodox biz in general like the blue creatures build. Proud of you son. Mono green control or tron? 🍆
Very nice deck. I’ll try it for sure. But your opponents were to weak in gaming. What about ranked games with this deck where it is more opportunities to find nice playing opponents?
13:38 please do make a collage of all the stupid things red decks do as part of your full time content creator schedule change(one your wife feels better)
7:10 how did the questing beast kill the regisaur when it has 4 power vs 6 toughness anyone? I know it has deathtouch but the ability says power not fight
In general, a Deathtouch creature destroys any other creature it deals damage to. Meaning, it does not really have to fight it. As long as it's the creature itself dealing the damage. Be it by spell or ability. This is setting aside Indestructible of course.
Unfortunately MtG is a physical card game first with Arena being an imitation of, and therefore subservient to, the physical game rather than vice versa. This means that Wizards very rarely issue errata instead of simply banning cards, because in the physical cardgame you can't go around scribbling 'legendary' on every physical copy of Field of the Dead. tl;dr, its hard/impossible to change irl cards
Trample reads: "If this creature would assign enough damage to its blockers to destroy them, you may have it assign the rest of its damage to defending player or planeswalker." Because death touch only requires 1 point of damage to destroy a creature, the rest of the damage can be assigned to the player. This is a cool interaction you can only use when both key word abilities trample and death touch are on a creature at the same time. :)
I disagree, since Golos isn't inherently broken without field. The best he can do now is go find a 5th color or a utility land. If you ban him but not field, Yarok field still exists and is pretty close to the same problem. I compare it to the Modern format banning of Bridge From Below rather than banning Hogaak right away. They thought that they could ban Bridge and keep hogaak as just a graveyard-centric big beater, but it proved to still be very broken, forcing them to ban it anyway. In that case, two cards got banned when really they only had to ban Hogaak. Same thing would have happened with Golos/Field.
