Glad to know I am not the only persons who’s scalp instantly wants to fall off. After I did my big chop, it was extremely hard for me to keep braids in I would break out and itch so bad. I’ll be disappointed because the money I spent ! But I am trying this out hopefully I’ll get better results.
Soak your braiding hair in vinegar mixed with water for 3 hours. Use a lot of vinegar, then rinse with conditioner and water to remove smell. Since I discovered this method I haven’t itched anymore. You’d see all the funk floating above the water after three hours.
Sorry to be offtopic but does someone know a way to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost my account password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me!
SAME sis I swear I thought it was just me. I cut my hair off and once I started braiding my hair, my scalp was on fire. It would itch and break out and I struggled until I finally took them out a month later. I couldn’t take it anymore but I didn’t want to waste $220.
Thank goodness. I haven't gotten my hair braided on over a year. I am extremely sensitive. The last braiding hair I used took the skin off of my face neck and back. And that was after soaking it in vinegar.
So glad to know its not just me from these comments. Every time I tell people I can't get braids because of sensitivity I get the deer in the headlights stares. The acv soak does work
Wow. Based on the comments, there are other ppl who unfortunately still have that “itch/allergic” reaction. I think it’s because no matter what, these companies apply that coating to (allegedly) help the hair refrain from growing mold/bacteria on the hair of unopened packs of hair (or whatever their reason is). But I think it’s another reason to these reactions that I will just keep to myself. I just stick to yarn for now. My hair thrives in yarn braids and I don’t have a reaction. But I miss the esthetic of braids with braiding hair. 😢 Hopefully, there will soon be a company to truly have non-reactive braiding hair.
It did not even take 5 days for the itch it was the next day. I have braided my hair in the past and this never happened. I had no idea about this chemical in the hair. I'm going to try this, I pray to God this works because I really want to braid my hair.
My only problem with the hair (and expressions too) is the stiffness. It isn't as flowy as regular jumbo braid kanekalon, but the anti itch factor makes it worth it. Thanks for sharing :) Btw you are glowing gurl
Kap Ee I totally agree. I will always prefer this brand for that reason- the anti itch factor. I’m glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for the compliment! ☺️
@@luscious8488 the itchy substance can be removed by soaking the hair in warm vinegar water, But I do still prefer the ez braid because it's softer on the hands.
This hair is good! I started using the hair I’m thinking in 2013 The hair was a $1.99 a pack. I started having the hair stores in my Town order the hair and the company jacked the price up asap! I used to order like 50 packs because it was cheap and it’s so good to use! The hair look plastic at the end of the braid but the braid look like your natural hair and when you take this hair out your hair, kinda have like a oil to get hair like it’s not brutal no breakage! I use to be able to use the braiding hair! 2006, got my hair braided after not wearing braids for maybe 6 years, I had to take out the braids the same day
Girl I thought I was tripping or sum. My stylist used this hair for my box braids and my scalp is itchy and I have small bumps all over. This hair is definitely not what it claims to be 😢
It's not itch free. I have it in my hair as I'm typing and I'm itching like crazy and not just my scalp everywhere the hair touches, I have it down the middle of my back so you can imagine my pain. I have tried everything, some relief but the itch comes right back. Its a no for me. I'm taking this out today.
Thanks for updating. These companies are a trip. You might want to look into companies like Latched and Hooked and Unclouded. Toxic free hair and black woman owned.
I would sufferrr! When I got my faix locs i had 2 different kinds if synthetic hair. I suffered so bad and i probably tore a lot of my hair out scratching. I learned you have to wash the braid hair. A lot of braiders dont like EZ braid hair but im going to try it.
i have a question! i’m mixed. italian & african american. my curls are particularly soft. i recently just had some box braids done at home by my cousin! however, they only stayed for a week. my scalp was extremely irritated and i felt something was wrong. when i removed the braids, i lost almost all of my hair. my hair was extremely healthy before the braids and i’m not sure what went wrong, but i really love having braids. any suggestions? i recently did a big chop after the whole “hair” scare. i really love getting braids but i don’t want to damage my hair any further. it’s been a long enough journey already.
😐 This stuff had my scalp on 🔥 it itched so bad. I never ever experienced my scalp itch from braids. Washed my hair and sprayed hair with Lysol. All I could imagine, was microscopic fungi in my hair 😡
Yes‼️I no longer purchase product from the store (Asian owned), I bought it from. My nieces would braid my hair, and I never saw the brand they used. They'd have the hair out and sectioned off on some type of 4x4 wall stand, that has rolls of arms extended to hold the hair. This time, family & I all went to their local store, and when I saw them all purchase EZ Braid, I panicked 😮 To my surprise, they told me, that's the only brand they've used for years, and that I must have gotten a bad batch 🤦🏽♀️ *... I'm glad you replied to my comment. I can now update my experience with this brand. I hadn't subscribed to this channel, bcos I thought she was promoting bad product. She isn't‼️The brand is good. I got a hold of a bad batch. I honestly believe the store I purchased from is deliberately selling tainted product. I'm 57yrs old, and never had a bad experience, until then. Come to find out. Those Asian stores carry product, that clearly say, anti bacterial, anti fungi & anti itch, and that shyt be tainted AF‼️We must find a way to produce our own products, at a cost we all can afford. It's a d@mn shame, how yt supremacists block us from industrializing our own shyt. They'll setup agreements with non Black nations to mass produce our products, to make 💰 off of us. The evil 💩 they do, is global‼️Glad West Alkebulan is cutting them Mitches off the titties‼️😡*
Thanks for the review. Quick question, do I need to hot water the hair after installing?....My 7yr old insists she wants box braids & i plan on using this hair. Thanks :)
Glad you enjoyed the review! Yes, my hair braider always uses the hot water method in addition to using a small amount of nail glue at the tip to prevent the braid from unraveling prematurely.
@@TheLuxJudge Thanks a lot! Do you have any link to order it on Amazon, it said out of stock but idk if it was just me? I unfortunately can't find the hair now. I only found the hair in beauty supply when I lived in California :/
Kai Reeves ikr! After I did this video, I realized Amazon wasn’t necessarily the most cost effective place to purchase. Next time I get my braids, I’ll definitely venture out to a beauty supply store.
My sisters, just wear your natural hair. I think they all itch. Everyone is different but natural beauty over uncomfortable discomfort and pain. Stop wasting money trying to find hair that is not yours. Your hair is yr beauty but you must KNOW it🫶🏽🏆
