Thank you for this video and providing variations in making blankets. This blanket is super cute and not too complicated. Greatly appreciate your time in demonstrating the stitches. I'm glad it's a 3-day weekend and I have extra loop yarn because this will be my project.

Just finishing up this blanket. I alternated my colors of Bernat Orange and Cream(the Orange of not as flexible which made it difficult to pull tge strands through the two foundation loops). While this is a cute and easy pattern, cutting the loops to create the ladder took some time...took breaks having 12 columns. I switched to the purl stitch at the top to finish my blanket.

How do you do this if you just have the bernat yarn for blankets without the loops already built into the yarn? I'm new to this hand knitting stuff and wanted to make a nice blanket for Christmas gift
