We're using the in-built record function of EZDrummer 2 to create new grooves for our projects. You can use this function in many awesome ways, like recording entirely new grooves, replacing some instruments of Toontracks default library, or creating some more variations for different song parts. You are going to love this feature either way!
Sections:
00:00 Introduction
00:55 Recording drums using EZDrummer
09:42 Quantizing your recording
11:12 Quantizing only single instruments
12:15 Combining recordings and grooves from the EZDrummer library
16:25 Using own recordings to edit default grooves
19:10 When not to quantize drums
22:31 3 final tips on using the recording function

It's time to wipe the dust off the tiny red record button underneath EZDrummers in-built sequencer. Let's use it for something good! Thank you! Now I know how to record my beats in sync with my Cakewalk DAW. Start the recording with the DAW play button. You are the first person to give that simple explanation. Now I can get down to business. Much appreciated!

Hey Tobias, your videos are really great! Thank you very much for your work. A lot of features that I didn't know before 🙈. Which guitar plugins do you use? Vandal with Samplitude or different programs? Best regards!

Hey there and thank you! :) glad to see it helps people to get the most out of this software! I'm using a lot of different software for different types of music. I tried a lot of different amp plug-ins the past few years and I have to say I enjoy Bias Fx 2 the most. I tried it when it was on sale and I liked it so much that I upgraded to the pro version soon after. Sometimes I'm also recording real amps through a reactive loadbox, or using different plug-ins. (neural dsp, helix native, guitar rig, amplitube) they all are kind of good. Vandal is nice as well, whereas it needs some tweaking because the vandal amp sim is not a copy of a real world amp, so it has its own unique characteristics which some like, and some not. They all sound great but I love bias fx 2 because they emulate the sag and the feel of a real tube amp and you can hear it. Just download the demo, load the Mesa boogie rectifier preset and pluck some strings. I also fell in love with the bogner extacy and friedman amps that come with bias fx 2 but I guess it's just personal taste. :) Are you using some of this already or are you planning to purchase some plug-ins? Cheers Tobi

@@TobiasJust Hey Tobi, thanks for your detailed answer! I use mostly Vandal or Guitar Rig 5 but I am not that convinced. In the past days I tried some presets of Amplitube 5 coming with the CustomShop and I was happy with that. So I'am thinking about an upgrade. Definetly I will try Bias FX2 due to your suggestion and I will have a go with Overloud-amps and then decide what I am going to purchase. There are too much offers around in the internet ;) However, go ahead with your great videos! Cheers, Christian
