Hey Pastor, I have a quick question, the name "Lucifer" comes from the Hebrew word "Helel" which means shining or better translated as "son of the dawn". It is not a proper name but a title. Due to an inaccurate translation "Lucifer"(which comes from the Latin Vulgate which means shining or bright) it was added into the King James version instead of the correct translation of "son of the dawn". If the Bible never reveals the proper name of the spiritual being called "Satan" (In Hebrew "Satan" means enemy or adversary and is not a proper name but title) we need to be careful we don't teach anything the Bible does not teach. The only proper names of spiritual beings in the Bible are Michael, Gabriel and Abaddon. I have been enjoying your study of Ezekiel immensely, but it is always about truth and Lucifer is a name WE have given to Satan and not the Bible. God bless and thank you for this study.

@@ARKRedlandsChurch thank you for your response. I have watched the video Inverted angel and here are my thoughts. Rabbi Cahn did a good break down of going over the translation of Isaiah 14 of Helel but, again Lucifer comes from the Latin word Luciferous, but the problem becomes when translating Hebrew to English the translators used a Latin word instead of directly translating Helel into English which like Rabbi Cahn said should be translated as "son of the morning" which is a title not a proper name. The reason why Satan's proper name is not given is it was not meant for us to know. The Bible uses titles such as serpent, dragon, satan and devil to describe this spiritual being. Notice these titles describe characteristics of his nature so that we can know how to fight against him which is by the power of the Holy Spirit. Lastly The devil being referred to as an angel is not Biblically correct. There are no scriptures that refer to satan as an angel, again this is where WE have added something about satan that the Bible does not. All spiritual beings are not angels. The Hebrew word "Malak" means messengers and in Ezekiel 28 he WAS called an "anointed cherub" which is a classification like "angel". So as stated before. the Bible never gives a proper name for satan just various titles describing his personality and his characteristics so we would know our enemy.
