I’m literally getting emotional watching this cause he was elusive, explosive, tough to bring down and we were able to use him in more ways than just between the gaps.
Watching this after the 49ers playoff loss I’ll always be sentimental this being my senior year or high school so many good memories which seemed like the start of something beautiful which we desperately needed so bad after the playoff loss the year before to the “dez caught it” it seems now that this time might coming to and end I’ll forever be thankful for you Dak & Zeke #4 & #21 🖤
Same here. I was freshman in high school when Dak and Zeke were rookies. They gave me so much hope man. It's so sad to see Zeke decline so much. The end of an era
The difference in explosion between this Zeke and now is INSANE. And I know our OL isn’t the same now, but back then there were plenty of times where he had nowhere to run but would find ways to break tackles. He never does that now..
When watching this, just take a look how number 70 and number 72 repeatedly pops up on the screen. They are the best in the game. It's crazy! This is Zekes highlight and theirs too
Yall saying yall miss him but just appreciate it like who else came in his era and still can run the ball that also has the stats he does plus the durability. Like these type of players dont last decades and hes on year 8 still healthy
The time has come, the cowboys have cut zeke. I just wanted to come here and remember just how amazing a young Zeke. His speed, his agility, that quick first step, and his elusiveness. It’s what made him a rushing champ twice in three years. Sure, all of that is gone but he turned into a damn good power back and whenever we needed a yard or two I wasn’t afraid when we gave the ball to zeke. Sure he didn’t get any huge runs anymore but he filled his role perfectly and knew that it was pollards time now. He’s a great player, and will always have a special place in my heart.
Watching these highlights from four years ago is so depressing, lol. He was a monster, so much faster than he is now, to the point where is a complete liability for the offense on running and receiving. Wish he didn’t put on that extra weight.
If only we had this Elliott, with this OL, with this year's receiving corp, with 2020 Dak pre injury, with a competent coaching staff, and a defense that could at least hold a lead. Just goes to show how difficult it really is to put it all together for a deep playoff run.
@@Grim_reapercy did Dak have the ability to step up in the pocket Sunday night? 🤔No... We're starting an undrafted free agent at right tackle, think about that 🧐🧐🤫
That 2016 offensive line rotation was built for Romo but then he got injured. Why can't the Joneses build one like that for Dak and Zeke? They need an o-line like that again if they want to win a championship.
Thank you Zeke for this amazing run with the cowboys. You hold a special place for running backs in my heart. You will always be one of the best. How bout’ them cowboys. Thank for these 7 amazing years with the cowboys.🤙🏻 💯
That spin move Zeke did to Clay Matthews was nasty, Clay touched the ground with both hands to keep his balance so he doesn't fall face 1st into the grass
O Line died.Every running back can get 1000 behind the 2016 O Line and apretty much you saw what Demarco Murray got in 2014(about 1800 or smth). Also 2016 Cowboys had the 5th ranked defense and they had the lead a lot over opponents so you couls eun to milk the clock.Nowadays with a trash defense and Dak starts bad and all of a sudden down 17-you gòt to throw your way into the game.Plus also the team is evolved to more pass heavy cause you got 3 potential no.1 recievers who can get 1000 yards.Thats why.And of course the QB switched a lot in 2020 so teams just stacked the box to stop Zeke. And also he has taken too many hits and is wearing out and also he been a workhorse even in Ohio State. He been used a ton.Like Eddie Geroger for ex.that fell apart in mid 2000.I still believe Zeke is a great player and behind a good O Line can do a lot of damage and get 1400 yards.Put him in Tampa for superbowl instead of Fournette and he gets 150 yards vs Chiefs vs That O Line.He just doesnt hit the hole as fast as he once could and doesnt have the homerun ability
great season but I like zeke now, nov.2021. he is so much smarter and complete. we wouldn't be good without him. Pollard deserves recognition as well, they are really fun to watch. go cowboys.
Ezekiel Elliott didn't fall off he just stopped picking up more than 10yds a carry and the whole world says he fell off🤦🏾 like he isn't Dak Prescott's Duo He's out performed Lamb, Cooper, and anyone you can name as their mates on that team over the years since his debut The man averages 8yds a carry and 12yds on a screen play “I haven't seen a teammate more consistent and determined to deliver a game breaking run time after time on a drive other than him since he's been there” if I'm wrong let me know someone better..... Their isn't
I see a lot of "down on Zeke" in the comments. Two things to take note. The blocking of the O-line and how much better the TE's blocked in these highlights. Jarwin & Schultz are terrible at the point of attack.
Completely different OC as well.... Zeke is still that good and he is in his prime at 26.....fuck the haters....it's like the NBA now I haven't watched a game in 3 years let's just shoot 3 pointers at 7bft tall....same thing in NFL bass pass pass run with no fullback smh 💯
Idk man Zeke looks more slower now he was more explosive and elusive in his rookie year. He's still fast and can break tackles tho but looks different.
I agree and I think it's because he put more muscle on. He's still quick and agile enough. He just has more power. I believe he has led the league in yards after contact among running backs his first 3 years or at least 2 out of his first 3 years
Know what’s crazy is he don’t have many big runs here he just moving the chains.. The media painted this picture that he ain’t good Zeke may not be as fast but the ability to get positive gains and impose his will is still there hope we give him the ball
Damn Zeke sheds weight and now weighs the same he did his rookie year.. he about to go crazy this 2019 season Also Tyron Smith and Travis Frederick's block at 10:19.. lord have mercy lol
He did well. Now that he’s a backup in patriots I’m happy for him. Hopefully he can get some time off soon. Every football player worked hard for their prime legacy and Elliot was amazing during his.
Hard runners just dont last long. Zeke will always be one of my favorite RBs of all time. He had a solid 4-5 years of being a top 3 back in the league but it catches up quick with that position. Another one that comes to mind is Todd Gurley. Another of my favorites. The brightest stars burn the quickest.
Dude put it all out on the line. Just watch how defenders are get drug and thrown when he finally goes down. Only get a Back like this once every 10 - 15 years.
You really tryna use that for a way to say Elliot wasn’t all that? Idc how good your oline is if you can’t get it done you can’t get it done. He was he best running back that year without a doubt
All of you guys here are wrong here Gotta understand that running back has to be the most brutal and physical position in any position or any sport when uve been playing all high school all college and nfl this position ur body wears down that’s why a lot of running backs retire so young unfortunately Zeke won’t be the same no more it’s the reality
Came to watch this video, because I was tired of seeing runs for losses or 2 yard gains up the middle. Feels like 10+ years ago he was this running back.
This whole film im finding myslef saying "Gotdamn our linemen were some damn gangstas." Its like 10 bodies at least on this film. S/o to Zeke back to his college weight taking things serious this pre-season, hope to see this and more this 2021 season. All our linemen back and healthy too. (grinch smile)
Prime example of how players on Dallas get the big payday and don't do shit afterwards. Get Dak's 2016 highlight real ready for this next offseason. Dak is done in Dallas after this upcoming season. I can't wait.
he's just a true baller with sportsmanship. he never complained, stayed healthy and all he did was go out there and played with heart. last year was a perfect example, he knew pollard was out producing him and instead of bitch and moan he told his coaching staff "give that man the rock and let him take us to the superbowl" sadly that didnt happen because pollard broke his fibula so we will never know what could have been but still who ever does pick him up will have a great veteran leadership on their team.
*Sigh* We Dallas residents are definitely gonna miss this guy. He was such a stud. The business side of the NFL sucks. Zeke will always be a Cowboy to me
Back when the offensive line made him look better than he actually is... He was always been an average RB... Average and over-paid. I bet if the Cowboys knew Dak would take the leap he did after 2018 Zeke never gets signed.
