I identified myself with this movie, my beautiful son is also EZRA and he was born with some kind of condition, we do have our own movie 😊❤ . I can’t wait to see this movie “ EZRA “ which means, helper of God in Hebrew
As a parent who raised a child with autism, it was a tough road, especially during a time when not a lot was known about this exceptionality. My philosophy, autism is only a part of a person, it doesn’t define you. In addition, it is best to expose your child to the real world, not coddle them and allow them to escape from uncomfortable situations. Example, my child had a hard time with noise, so, rather than allow them to use ear muffs for the rest of their life, expose them to noise, gradually and gently. Proud to write my adult child, graduated from college, and is driving. I have never put limits on my child, they are great!
Autism is worth understanding as a mother of a daughter with autism it has msny challenges but acceptance compassion and letting the. Be themselves is the key. .❤
As someone who has instructed three separate kids with autism, I find the most success comes with treating them as a normal kid, not degrading and just embrace the idiosyncrasies.
It's just so neat to see Bobby Cannavalle and Rose Byrne playing characters so opposite of the ones they played in Boardwalk Empire and Get Him to the Greek. What a range!
As a proud Mother of an Autistic Son, this movie looks great and shows the reality of parenting a child on the spectrum. I look forward to seeing it all and hope it is as good as the trailer!
We need movies that show the dark side of Autism, not just kid doctors & card counting. How about non-verbel, 250lb, 6' tall violent adults? Who are struggling to find proper placement. County boards that are overwhelmed, a CMS system that is broken. The isolation families feel. The long-term trauma and shattered family dynamics. I'm tired of hearing my child is autistic and in the next breath how they're on the debate team while playing soccer.
@@callumreilly9107 I base it on quality of performance. Some films could be like Pi and directed by an insanely talented filmmaker, like Darren Arronovsky and also actors not really known, but if a film is coming out and not much word is coming out if whether it's good, but legit quality actors are in it, that piques my interests. But same goes with an unknown cast but theres a quality filmmaker behind it, I'm also piqued. Anyways, that's how I think when I select films on what to watch.
For all that matters, autistic people are generally way more in this world, and less obsessed by relational politics, hierarchy and more fully immersed in the real experience. Autists care way less for your wants, and that's a problem for people with goals, anxieties, things to get done.
It looks great. Though I dont know why Robert said what he said about Autism and his own son then does a film like this. But I will watch it not for Robert De niro
FINALLY an autism film that not handles autism as a disease!! YES FINALLY! We just had that Sia film, but also that film that Jim Parsson plays in, and that serie about a savant that needed to have superpowers with Kiefer Sutherland. This feels like an honest true successor of Rain Man 44 years later and a film were all the actors don't have to be ashamed that they had a part in it, which a lot actors for a lot of films and serie between Rain Man and this film should!
You might have had me.. then I heard… “jimmy kimmel wants to book you !” And I was suddenly inspired to get vaccinated and then I died before the end of this trailer…. Thank god.
As someone who pretends to be whatever the subject of a video is I would just like to say blah blah blah blah blah and lie lie lie and some more bs blah blah blah
