More info: Igor Presnyakov studied classical music at a nearby academy and would eventually graduate as both a guitarist and a conductor for ensembles. His unique acoustic guitar-style is influenced by various musical genres from Reggae, Rock and Roll, R&B, Country-western, Jazz and Heavy Metal. Igor also rarely sings any of the lyrics to any kind of song that he covers, and instead skillfully translates them into a guitar melody, having his instrument sing the words.

The point with him is, he knows how to build emotions through dynamics. He's got the technique to do it on one solo guitar. Look at him. So many others who cover it here on RU-vid play it down, deliver it, that's it, done. Igor enters it, fills it, lives it. To the last note. He even breath-sings a verse, I had the feeling it just came over him. Bravo!

Still listening to this in 2019 - ridiculously amazing arrangement. For me, this is still my favourite Igor arrangement by far, but I am a huge Metallica fan... Every year I learn to play a little more of this arrangement myself - it is extremely challenging and means learning quite a few techniques I've never used. It has actually changed my approach to playing the guitar... I guess you call that influence.

Some people are petty or have unreal expectations. Something about this dude reminds me of Santa Esmerelda for some reason. My ex dated a dude before me who used to pick apart every song and would basically complain if wasn’t up to eleven all the time. Some very cool music she showed me, he had written off immediately. His loss IMO... girl’s gone, but the music is still cool.

I watched most of his covers and I think I can say that THIS one is the best. The flow, the emotions... It is a bit overused to say that "this is better than the original" but in this particular case I would say that it is ACTUALLY might be.

svartannika well i would go so far and say that especially this song gets pretty stale and almost annoying after about the half~ in the original. here however it gets almost better than the awesome sound at the first half

They are in different category: one is for harmonies of instrument with rhythms and timing, originality and power which Metallica and the other one is natural sound, extraordinary skill, soulful performance which is Igor.

I've listened to nearly all of Igors music on youtube and its always interesting but this stands out as a truly great piece of guitar playing by anybodies standards. It retains an edgy rock sound often lost in acoustic interpretations of metal. Listen to the end; time well spent. It builds superbly.
