I was born in Kingsville TX in March 1964 and remember seeing them fly when I was young, but then they transitioned to the TA-4 & T-2. I think NASK flew the F-11 for a short time.
VT-26 NAS Chase Field Beeville Texas was the last squadron to fly TF9J as student trainers while I was stationed there '68-'71. Did carrier quals off the Lexington (and others) and bombing runs in El Centro Calif, plus solo cross country runs, as part of student completion of advanced jet training before getting their eventual squadrons.
