You can do them in a single evening without much sweat. Make sure to orient the lower joint grease fittings so you can reach them with a grease gun without a jack. Aim them straight forward but around 30* angled inward
Add this to your little bag of tricks! Stick your new ball joints (you can do this same thing with sealed bearings as well) in the freezer for a couple hours then when your ready for installation heat up the lower control arm (with the bearings it's the spindle) the cold shrinks the ball joint and the heat expands the control arm. It practically falls in. 😉
@@greebuh I don’t think you caught the end of the video. I have a $800 OTC balljoint press kit. When the truck is clean enough to do this, it’s easily twice as fast. Which matters if you’re getting paid per job, but not if you’re DIYing your own car.
