imagine how much money Ford would have saved if they put the drivetrain and other parts makers in the same factory they are building the truck in... More vertical integration is needed if they want to get down costs to compete with the best in EV's. Lightening is an amazing truck and I salute Ford for making this! I hope they can focus on software, vertical integration, and making their own batteries one day to reduce the costs and complexity.
I've been in manufacturing for 3 decades--everything those workers are saying is not reality...it's a lie. That's not how workers view their jobs--this is PR.
Cool video Ford. Congrats on the launch of the new Lightning. I loved listening to Jim Farley, he is a very funny guy. It's apparent that Jim also got the funny gene that his cousin Chris Farley had. I miss Chris. Rest in Peace. Cheers from Canada.
Hopefully I can afford one one day. I've owned five Ford trucks. I currently have a 92 Ford Range and it runs like a brand new one. Love what I'm seeing with the new Ford vehicles.
Late, but I’m glad it’s finally here. Now if Ford can quickly get the Maverick and/or Ranger electrified, then Ford will be around for many more years to come. If not, their debt load and declining sales will bankrupt them.
My reservation was cancelled back in December 2021, I was looking forward to becoming a member of the Ford Family but I guess they’ve reached the 200k already. Well I guess I’ll stay with the MOPAR Family can’t wait for the Ram!
Ford F-150 Lightning is awesome and a game changer. Thank you to Tesla for sticking to your mission and knowing you need help from the Legacy auto makers. Not everyone needs or wants a CyberTruck but we need a Tesla to lead the way. We all win🇺🇸🌎
Good Looking trucks, I would totally get one except I'm not paying $60K+ for it. If I was going to do that, I'd buy a new Raptor or a Tesla. If y'all keep saying $40K you're going to have to work on that price to get it down.
Yet another great vehicle by Ford, yet another vehicle that will not be available to anyone for a couple years unless you were the lucky few who got orders in. I placed an order within minutes of them opening this vehicle up for orders and I didn't make the window of those who got chosen to get on the production list. I see this going the route of the Bronco.....some people who ordered one of those the same day ordering was opened up STILL don't have their vehicle. Dealerships still can't get them on the lot to sell, the ones you see them selling are from people who ordered one and pulled out of the purchase. You will see dealerships adding thousands of dollars onto the MSRP and taking advantage of their customers, just like you are seeing right now with any Broncos that they acquire. Ford needs to get a handle on this problem and do the right thing!
Curious to see how you guys are going to be able to ramp this up with this style of assembly ... Too many steps and too many parts and people involved to get it done 🤔
