@@Captain_Flynt if you put the maf sensor by where the filter is it will work that’s the only way to install it right. Just put one on my truck and had to do it that way
When you install any after market performance part on a modern fuel injected vehicle you should get a tune, because you can lose horsepower, because the computer is programmed for a specific fuel air ratio, its best to mod older carburetor vehicles, because you can adjust how rich or lean you need to run correctly, but dont get me wrong sometimes you can make gains without a tune.
@@kismofer1 next time you do something like that by the headers cold air intake high performance exhaust and then put all those on. After that you can get a tuner
Cold air intakes are a waste of several hundred dollars just to suck in hot, hp robbing air. Sounds nice, though. I've been down this route with my 2007 F-150. Back to stock. I wanted to believe mine felt slightly more powerful too. But, when I did some 0-60's with the stock and cold air intake at the same temps (40's to 60's), no difference. Just louder. No MPG increase, either. Marketing scam.
I always have bad luck when I work on my truck for some reason. But anyway sorry for the shaky camera still trying to get used to it and let me know if you guys have any questions i'm no where near an expert but I will try and help if possible.
@@SimplyZack I just got me an 05 with 170k runs like a champ and all I’m hearing about is phasers and tension rods and shit lol I just had to give you shit man good video tho
Did you call your MAF a fuel sensor? The reason it kept dying is because you had it backwards. The MAF wasn't reading any air flow into the intake. Also, without a tune it doesn't gain any power. Makes a nice throaty sound under acceleration though.
Because the maf sensor can't measure way after the filter because the pipe is so big the air would have to be very dense for it to get a reading think about as if you were blowing through a coffee strir versus blowing through a large straw your air escapes so fast breathe again but on a coffee stirrer you got a constant amount of air because of the restriction
It doesn’t take an expert to know what a cold air intake does. You should not be touching anything under the hood of that truck if you didn’t know to hook up your mass airflow sensor. And what in the hell did you put the camera behind the exhaust for? Intake is for air coming in. Unless I missed something but you got new exhaust. This is embarrassing to watch. Before you post anything on RU-vid do a little research dude
