Great work! I worked on the real plane depicted here (85102) when I was in the Air Force and stationed at the 60th Fighter Squadron on Eglin Air Force Base. Those were good times! Thanks for sharing.
How I did my oil wash? I've just added a little white spirit or enamel thinner to thin the oil paint then apply and let it dry for a few hours, then I wiped it with a kitchen towel until it clean, my friend. But before you do that, make sure that you have applied already a clear gloss to your model. Thank you my friend and keep watching.
Hey mate, Nice build 👍 Couple of things - Bay 5(instrument bay behind the cockpit) is white, instruments black or dark grey; exhausts should be the "turkey feather" type not what Tamiya supply. Tamiya reboxed their A version model as a C but didn't change the exhaust cones! Can't say I can find images of a C with the ALQ-119 pod but, hey, it's your kit 😁 If you love F-15's (like I do 😁) have a crack at the Revell 1/48 E model. Happily subb'd 👍 Cheers
This kit sucks.. I was just literally trying to dry fit the exhaust nozzles. And it was a rocking motion not a complete SEAL fit this is my second kit of this one the first one I had to rescribe and sand the same thing on the exhaust and then the front fuselage goes together like crap too
