One thing cool about this plane is that it can hover! If you bring the plane almost to stall speed, light the afterburner and use thrust vectoring to pitch your nose straight up, then apply various amounts of throttle, roll, rudder and pitch to keep it stable.

The missiles in the side bays are AIM-9X Sidewinders and the six missiles in the center bay are AIM-120D AMRAAMs (Advanced Medium Range Air to Air Missiles). The Sidewinder is a heat seeking or FOX-2 missile and the AMRAAM is an actively guided radar guided or FOX-3 missile.

@@luissuarez7896 yes the premium is on the market place and a freeware one is available on places like flightsim.to only not as good but still ok.

Great video! Will get this plane as soon as I get my replacement hotas. One suggestion: you might want to push the mic volume a bit, on external cam mode the engine sounds are quite loud and it's rather hard to understand what you're saying. But that's just a nitpick ;)

Yeah I have done that before and not aware, I turned the sim up to hear the engines start and forgot to lower again.

Great jet one think i think they forgot to at is the speed break to slow down the plane to land

The speed brakes on a 22 are made by angling the tails, I think it works the same here. I'll have to test it again and try but I am sure it does activate when you press your spoilers.

I am very much interested in purchasing this addon. I’ve been wanting to have an F-22 Raptor on the sim ever since the sim first came out. Only issue is though I’m on the verge of taking my private pilot check ride and because I have to focus on my private pilot training, I’m going to have to wait until that’s done. Maybe it’ll come out on the marketplace when I get my PPL.

Can you adjust the brightness of the HUD?

Yes, use the HUD brightness control wheel which is on the right side of the front panel next to your A/P button. Says HUDBRT from top to bottom direction. Bellow it is the ICP backlight and LCD display brightness control wheel

I own them all and enjoy their flight characteristics. I only use a HOTAS for jet fighters. My preference for best product out of the 3 is the F35, you get 3 different variants with A conventional flight, B STOVL (Short Take Off Vertical Landing) and the C variant (CV Carrier ops) being similar to the A but with a larger wing span, carrier gear and larger fuel capacity I think it is.

Sometimes I find the landing gear will not come down and thats rly annoying

I think it is speed locked, if you still flying too fast in many aircraft it is locked to drop gear until under a certain speed. Maybe test that and see if that is the reason why.

It is in the sim marketplace but not available for xbox yet, that might happen when they update the WASM that is needed for xbox to work with more complex aircraft coding.

Does it do it when you start on the active runway or only on cold and dark? Wondering if you are missing something or your aircraft has an issue.

@BrettPlays I ended up figuring it out. I had a old freeware version installed yet. So I uninstalled that and reinstalled the payware one and it worked.

It should be auto with your controls, pull back on the stick or even use rudder and it should auto turn for you.

No it's not yet available for xbox. It is in the marketplace but not yet on xbox. No mods are not allowed yet for Xbox too. Shame but xbox is locked out of outside DLC.

@@MaxTV-fs9yc Xbox is getting this Raptor soon, We are waiting for Sim Update 11 or 12 for them to fix the WASM, Once they do that we will be able to buy this Raptor it's going to cost $35.

I am having a lot of problems with it. Not saying it's "bad" but... #1 sometimes the displays in the aircraft displays don't load. #2 randomly the flight controls stop working. This is mainly on takeoff. No rudder mainly. #3 the afterburner is not that exciting. The sound is not the best. (Personal preference) also... the flight model from the free to the real isn't really that much different. #4 the auto pilot not on point. Far from it. On nav mode it hunts back and forth on a straight line. Don't expect to use auto pilot. The freeware version will suffice most of you. Don't spend the $36 usd for this. Its not worth it.
