On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

@@Anarchy_420 _Yeeeaa!_ This, right here and now, _this!_ I am a YUUUGE fan of the F-15 S/MTD and its evolution, the F-15 A.C.T.I.V.E. , which had 3D TVC, Canards, and some sort of ducted airflow control system that allowed the pilot to temporarily increase the wing's lift no matter the flight attitude in which the jet was flying. The F-15 A.C.T.I.V.E. could fly like a Simone Biles Olympic tumbling routine, meaning in any direction within a 360° spherical zone around the jet! Oh yeah. I'd surely love to see that one🖤🖤🖤🤟✈️

I’d like to see a scenario where a mission is intercepted, and have a bvr fight transition into a dog fight. No gentleman’s agreements, just straight up combat. It’s hard for me to understand how the bvr fight becomes a turning fight with missiles still on the wing.

I’m not certain that the first fight would’ve ended that way, although it is nearly impossible to say based off of the millions of combinations of events that could possibly happen. The only reason I’m doubtful though, is that where that missile hit would’ve caused catastrophic damage to the entirety of the avionics suite in the aircraft, including the fly by wire. That’s not to say that it would’ve totally destroyed the jet, but it likely would’ve caused many wiring harnesses to sever or burn, which very well could’ve rendered the guns inoperable as well, depending on how the system is set up. All in all, it was extremely fun to watch, and a good fight between two very capable pilots

Fly by wire is usually redundant. Commercial aircraft have the command inputs handled by different buses, and cross checked by different flight computers.

in the early days of Vietnam war when helicopter gunships were still experimental, pilots simply use markers to draw crosshairs on their windshield after testing on the range because official gunsights were not made yet.
