this is fantastic. even better is that for whatever reason, I've associated the album cover with The Cowboy for all of these years, so great choice of music 🤜💥
HOLY SHIT. This is criminally underrated. You captured the vibe and the original cover perfectly. I don’t know how you would do it but seeing the album cover for Hallelujah! Don’t Bend! Ascend! animated like this would be insane.
thx bro, i've already animated that a loooong time ago, but forgot to post it on youtube, so you reminded me, thanks, if you wanna check it out take a look on my channel, its there now.
@@october1820 i had a dream not too long ago about how i was in a game where all the areas were themed around various godspeed album covers. i only very vaguely remember what the actual goal of the game was, but i think it had to do something with collecting stones and putting them in a nest. the part of the dream i remember most was when i was in the asunder sweet location because for some reason my dream decided that it would be the "iconically difficult location".
@@hhxa23 god damnit everyone gets cool dreams about cool stuff but me :c So that's a cool concept for it, Kind of similar to the KID A MNESIA Exhibition but with Godspeed artwork all around it. The "collecting stones and putting it in a nest" thing sounds interesting too, A bit odd though... Maybe it meant something?
@@october1820 it wasn't really like kid a mnesia exhibition where you just go around the various areas and explore freely, it was more like a survival game type of thing where each album cover area was a different level. there was also like a fully fleshed out map beyond just the area in the cover art, like i remember there being a small hill area in the asunder sweet level i was talking about. also i just realized you're the same guy i replied to a couple days ago on an ultrakill video about the world looks red lmao
Man, this effort with these little views is criminal. I appreciate the work you put into this, bro. Top shit. Did you mix 3D and 2D projections together? It works pretty well.
thanks, but i dont think compression is playing a big role here, the animation is supposed to look out of focus and grainy, and I dont have it uploaded anywhere else.
