Wow! Perfectly played and interpreted, with technical perfection, historically informed, a rendition with excitement, and the Fabricatore copy is a perfect match for this music. Carulli deserves greater importance in the repertoire as he composed many serious works such as this and several other Grand Sonatas. Thank you for posting this! Best regards from the Early Romantic Guitar site!
@@enealeoneclassicalguitar I enjoyed your other videos and hope to hear more from the Fabricatore copy; especially Giuliani who like Carulli is documented as playing Fabricatore. I saw a posting that you fingered the Carulli op 114 - 6me Morceau Grande Sonate edition for Zanibon Armelin; where can I find this edition? I have the REX facsimile, but your fingerings were very nicely done and the facsimile is difficult to read.
The best 19C extended guitar piece, demonstrating Carulli's mastery and supreme abilty and showing he wasn't just about composing simple music for beginners. Sadly almost all of his concert pieces were never published and sre now lost.
A giant guitarist with excellent technic and nuance. I like Carulli music so much. There is innocence in his music and you performed it excellently. Good job....Thanks for uploading.
Wonderful piece by the great Carulli and wonderfully played with great expression and touch 👏 Such a shame that his best performance pieces were never published and have been lost. There are many contemporary descriptions of his virtuoso performance pieces by those who attended his concerts and wrote about them.

Dear Pavel, I don't have a work number in my manuscript. But you can find the music revised and fingered by me for Zanibon Armelin editions.

@@enealeoneclassicalguitar Thanks :-) I find old original edition and its really no opus number ,,Grand Recueil pour la guitare 48 Preludes et 24 Morceaux" I check Your edition for better fingerings (I have nothing in original score)
This guitar does not sound like an early 19th century Franco-Italian guitar, even though the appearance (other than the gargantuan modern neck) makes the eye think it. The sound is tubby, slow, and soupy, which does not suit this musick well. On the other hand, you give the piece a marvelous performance, with much great articulation, joie de vivre in the tempi, and an extremely expressive intro. Bravo!
Hmm, it doesn't quite have that usual extra midrange and treble quality that romantic guitars usually have, and the size and shape of the body look a little strange but there were a lot of builders and the measurements were all over the place in those days, so it could either be modeled after a lesser known builder or just 19th century "inspired." I'd say it also doesn't sound like a more modern Spanish guitar, but maybe somewhere in between. In my opinion not bad for the music though.
@@enealeoneclassicalguitar Thanks for the reply, really cool to hear from you directly. I didn't think of Fabricatore, maybe because it doesn't have the vine decorations, haha! Well as a romantic guitar enthusiast I really love this video and the Sor studies album that you did. Hope I can see you for a concert sometime!!
@@AllY0urBass Thank you so much Steve, It as a pleasure for me to talk with people (like you) that love so much romantic guitar! I also hope to be able to see you at one of my concerts!
