Mel, in my opinion , wanted to say that when he got down with the bloods , every body problem was now his problem and you're obligated to ride with that or be "penalized ".. Compare to when riding solo , you just have to look out for yourself. Hold your own self down. It's a catch 22 . Ride with the numbers but deal with the bullshit that comes with it or ride solo and be outnumbered and be at risk of fighting every day to survive with no backup. Either way , their is backlash .
