@@mr.z6252 I'm not agree, be patient is not the important key, its too hard for them to be patient and we know they are bad in terms of defense and quality of return the ball, so playing rally is not give them advantage...the key is Rotation, Kevin should improve his power and angle at the backcourt, Gideon improve a lot at the front, but kevin backcourt not yet, so they can rotate, and give the same pressure and power to his opponent.

They didn't do that.... Kevin want the shuttle straight to the ground, keep hammering while their defense is strong and their Rackets are waiting down there, and yep the shuttle keep coming back When Kevin/Marcus down 15-11 they change tactics and utilize the net area more, sometimes they will return it, but sometimes they don't.... That's when the *"Patient"* comes in and walaaaa 15-15 After that Kevin starting to go Fast and Furious tried to beat Watanabe in speed and made the Unforced Error
FINALLY, Endo got an All England title after four attempts...!!!! And regardless of the results, this was a thrilling match. Thanks to the 4 players who played such a great match like this. I respect them all!!
Interesting that He won using a Korean style.. Legendary defense mode + go for the counter-attacking opportunities. I want to point out also the fact that *He was the Key player in the late game* because minions were targeting him hard with increasing success but He managed to hold himself (and keep the few extra points they gathered thanks to the toss choice). WATANABE Yuta on the other hand was just PERFECT.. fast & explosive but with enough self control to make the unforced errors happen the other side. *The pair is now playing at a pace (control+speed) that is becoming out of reach for many top pairs.* Lets hope they can get this kind of form for the Olympics.

Ini epic, salah satu final terbaik yg pernah gw tonton. Biasanya Gideon yg akan drop duluan, tak disangka kalo boleh dibilang nyaris sempurna. Justru Kevin yg banyak mlakukan kesalahan. Yuta/ endo is still better than you guys, tp gw bangga dng kalian. Gw jarang ngomong gini tp kalian tetap sangat hebat dan membanggkan bagi saya.
Dulu gw sempat rada peseimis kalo Gideon bisa improve dan tak menjadi beban bagi Kevin ketika berhadapan dng Yuta/ Endo. Justru Gideon disini benar2 perfect bagi gw, justru berbanding terbalik Kevin banyak sekali melakukan kesalahan. Andai Kevin bisa lebih tenang di 3 poin terakhir, ya ... sudahlah. Watanabe/Endo is the perfect example of 2 players that respect each other on/off the court. Even though Watanabe is younger and stronger than Endo, you can see that he genuinely listens to him and his advice. I have always like Watanabe ever since he started playing for his work ethic and respectfulness on the court. Congrats to the Japanese pair and also to the Minions, they all played their heart out!

Bear in mind Endo and Watanabe not only beat 1 but 3 former AE champions in this tournament in 3 consecutive rounds from QF to SF to F. Ahsan/Setiawan, Sozonov/Ivanov and Sukamuljo/Gideon. Crazy stuff

When team with the best offense vs team with the best defense. I must say, this is one of the best men doubles finals. Hiroyuki Endo is really a fine gentleman. Watanabe is pure gem. Both team put their best effort but the 🇯🇵 is more cunning & determine. Watanabe even play with fire (playing net with Kevin). Among all, Minions still have all the ability needs to keep being the number 1, but still have to reflects more & improve on contra playing (switching part between front & back). Tapi ini...ko sinyo aja senyum pas bbrp saat setelah game usai, yg duduk itu, nah w jg merasa yg sama, lebih terima aja. It wasn't that Kevin/Gideon played badly or underperformed. It was all just that the Japanese pair had a superb and brilliant defense and attack. Simply amazing match. And the Japanense deserves the title.

What I really like about the Indo players is that they rarely do lob shots. They dont give chances for the Japanese players to smash and go offense. But on the other hand. Japanese defense were so tight even if they’re in a uncomfortable position. Both teams were great!

If someone want to watch the best ever Men Doubles match, definitely I’ll recommend this match … Only big regret I have is not able to watch this match live at that time … But man, Endo is such a legend … It took 4 times to finally clinch All England title .. Pairing with Watanabe is GOLD !! And Watanabe is only 22 / 23 at that time .. He already build his legend statue as MD & XD superstar ..
Kevin always has this ‘fearless aura’ everytime he play on set, but whenever he met watanabe it feels like he lose his confident and kinda hesitate since the beginning:( comeback stronger kevin, you just need to push away all your doubtness and SLAY them all 🔥🔥🔥
Di game penentuan udah unggul 19-18. Tapi Kevin justru bikin 3 erors dan ngasih title ini ke pasangan Jepang. Setuju, keliatan bgt. sejak pertengahan hingga akhir. Kevin terlihat ga PD dan ragu2. Faktor pasangan Jepang juga sih. Mereka berhasil ngepush Minion ke limit kemampuan maksimalnya dan akhirnya maksa Kevin bikin eror. Justru Gideon yg bikin salut. Ga menyerah, bisa tetap tenang, nurut pelatih, sabar terus, berusaha terus. Class lah.

I was so afraid of my neighbour coming up knocking my door cuz I screamed at almost every point watching this. First game was like double version of Momota vs Ginting, Second game shows how minion went real aggressive right from the beginning (btw 33:58 was fuckin god touch), Third game was full of tactic choices, beginning with a 6-0 lead by the Japanese, followed by minion targeting Endo (as Endo's stamina decreased significantly after the 2nd game), then Watanabe trying push more on the front court (more flat drives instead of lifting).. Damn it, that was a brilliant match.
Final Ideal.. Match tadi memang sgt menghibur! Kevin/Markus udah kerja keras walaupun hasilnya ngga selalu manis tapi saya BANGGA BGT Sedikit lg ko... Kalian pasti bisa kalahin Yuta/Endo! Comeback stronger boys 💪💪💪
