This was an excellent decision regarding interpretation. :) Lastly, you know the following to be true from an "academic" standpoint, but most people have forgotten that it was only 50 years ago that this piece, the Study No. 5 were considered "The Ultimate" in "Recital Repertoire". :) Your performance and interpretation of this piece proves that somewhere along the line in life, everyone else FORGOT to play the simple and beautiful music. :) "Bravo !" to you, young lady. :) And yes, I CAN call you "Young Lady" because, unfortunately, I AM A LOT older than you. :). Dear Tanja! I'm not qualified to judge anyone's ability to play the guitar, so I won't get into that, but I admire the cello the most. Still, I enjoy your videos too. I want to say that I found you soulfully doing what you do. You live in the atmosphere of the music - perhaps even the lyrics. That's what makes the show wonderful for me. You'll enjoy how the song makes you sway, like sea grass gently to and fro with the water currents! I notice that you often enjoy playing with your eyes closed - or at least almost closed. Brava! You play this piece with the Tatyana touch. Your presentation, technique and coloring are excellent! I've been playing this piece for over 30 years and I still love it. Third to last measure, first note, D#. When I play it with D# in a music store, people often comment on that particular note, like I made a mistake. I suppose the D# sounds too dissident for most people. So, because of that, I usually play it with D. Sor Op 35 No 17 (Segovia Estudio 6) was the first Sor piece that I learned because it's so beautiful. The first performance I heard was ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PeCM5MQH7WY.html. It took me a day to memorize but weeks to master. It's deceptively difficult to play well and consistently. Sor Op 35 No 13 (Segovia Estudio 2) was my next choice because it's just so much fun to play.
