Who else also thinks that Aeropolis is one of the most beautiful, energetic racetrack in this game? I just love it when music kicks in at the final lap ^^

One time on Ordeal, I used my last ounce of boost and then got hit and was broken down. But I kept bouncing around by the machines and won. I went from 4th to 1st by being a tennis ball. I saved the replay because that was awesome! Add that to your record Leon! "Won Ordeal by playing tennis with the other machines."

Just finished doing a cup with Space Angler on Master, and it's the first time I've completed a cup on Master. Leon will forever be in my heart Also had F-Zero GX for about 15 years so better late then never

This dude is the Nacho Libre of F Zero X, he has the worst machine yet his desire to help orphans has made him a skilled driver.

its sad that leon, who is such an awesome character, has one of the worst machines in f-zero. his porfile says that he has a good race record, wich means that leon is a badass pilot with great skills, but a very bad machine

Always liked the sound the Space Angler makes when it boosts

I love how with most machines you just go straight max speed. But with Leon, you take a while to choose your acceleration/Top Speed balance! :P

Great job beating Master Class with the Space Angler!! Some of those races, Dragon Slopes in particular, looked like they had their hiccups, but I'm impressed you pulled through regardless! Despite the awful stats and sheer jank, I still use Space Angler as my main, largely because 🐱 tbh. As expected, I have trouble winning a race. Looks like it's a challenge for even the most seasoned players, though. At least now I know winning is in fact possible, and I just have to get really good. Wish me luck-I think I'm going to need it 😅

Man, that Dragon Slope crash though...what the heck? I can tell you were just in utter disbelief over what happened. A solid minute between the crash and starting the race again. Seriously though what's with this machine's air-time? It can't even reliably make the higher paths in Dragon Slope and yet it can seemingly fly for ages like at 1:08:03.

OMG! I almost cannot imagine to win with this machine! First I thought that this has some potential, until I realise how bad this machine really is! The Acceleration was more suited for the Black Bull at least!

Leon was one of those chars that you had a tough time getting going but the results show when you do.

According to a guide on gamefaqs, Space Angler beats Dark Schneider on grip only. DS takes the lead on boost and max speed (their max speed don't make much of a difference, though.) On the other stats, they are almost the same.

The developers probably intended players to experiment with machine settings, e.g blood hawk being pretty good at high acceleration to emulate X playstyle (no advanced tech, high acceleration and speed in drifts, A boost fits since it picks up to 1350+ fast and lasts a while, in drift amazing) and space angler with this really high top speed is probably also an acceleration machine with the unique trait of good top speed in high accel settings, maybe closer leaning to balanced setting. Weird machine overall but I appreciate how diversified the machines really are in this game as compared to any other, they are all fun. Even Blue Falcon and Groovy Taxi, whom are very similar, are different as the taxi has a longer boost so it maintains the 1500 speed for longer periods where as the falcon picks up speed easier.

I like the boost though, it provides a relatively strong boost and lasts for quite a while. Even if the acceleration is so garbadge that you can even activate a boost and still not reach max speed if you are just starting.

I’m actually quite fond of this ship. I guess it might just be because I think Leon is cool, but I dunno.

For some reason, when using the shoulder buttons (L & R for neophytes), the Space Angler curves in the opposite direction of what shoulder button one pressed (if pressed R, it curves to the left & vice versa), the only machine to do so. When viewing replays, one can see the CPUs often drift for no reason, and because of the aforementionned perk this ship has, this could be oart of the reason the Space Angler's AI is terribad.

If you think about it, Space Angler is a worse version of Fire Stingray and Hyper Speeder.

Leon reminds me of Wolf from Star Fox.

I see a blue machine fighting its way into the lead. It's gotta be Leon and his Space Angler. Space Angler is one of those cars that's extremely bad but there's a bit of justice albeit minimal. It's rather cool and you can definitely see an anglerfish in the design and shadow. And blue is a good color. Everyone knows it for being slow to accelerate and slow to race. One of the worst accelerations and the speed only tops off at 1050. However, it appears to be able to out speed an AI Fat Shark. Other machines at that speed and the Dark Schneider (which travels at 1062) can't outpace 31. It's gotta be traveling faster that 1050. Boost is still incredibly weak and the grip is super slippery. Cornering isn't that bad but the shoulder buttons can leave it in bad situations. It's only worth it to play 19 with max top speed but it's hard to win with it at any speed. Max top speed is the easiest though. And max top speed Space Angler even won Phantom Road on master. *IN YOUR COWARDICE FACE JOESTAR!*

I think the worst Machine is no doubt Pico's. Talk about drifting

I always thought it was strange that this ship would list off in one just before landing from jumps at fast speeds.

In terms of raw power, this machine has to have the worst boost ib the game. It has good duration, but the pickup speed is terrible. Also, the grip is really wierd. Sometimes it holds grip better than queen meteor while stick turning. Other times its harder to control than black bull at moderate speeds. This machine feels like its like double its actual weight

Is it just me, or is this ship lacking in every stat? Bad accel, bad top speed, mediocre grip, mediocre body, and awful turning? Poor Leon...

I HAVE to say that this machine is MUCH better that the Dark Schneider! At least this machine CAN steer! You see, Space Angler is not that bad, but be careful! its still has some inconsistensies!

Pretty much if you can avoid crashing too hard the vehicle is alright, but slow down and you are automatically dropped to 30th as you slowly acceletate.

Crummy ship? If the Space Angler was crummy, you would not have won with it on any course here.
