We should be thankful that the F1 license is currently owned by Codemasters and they did a very good job in developing the modern F1 games. Imagine what if EA still owning the F1 license today...

Does anyone remeber that in this game you had to take the driving license? Unfortunately my ps2 slim doesn't read old blue discs anymore, otherwise I would play again with this 19 years old game sometimes.

On graphics plane, there were absurd (saying it in positive way) details in this game for the time. Look at the reflections on Montoya chrome helmet and the arms/hands animations he had during his driving. The EA titles for PC, based on ISI engine (F1 2000, F1 2001, F1 2002 and F1C) had nothing of those things.

Parabolica at 270 yet top speed only 305? Monaco gear ratios?? P/S: Weather changes is just cosmetic, still acts like dry circuit. 1'14.9 in rain?? Even F2004 on slicks can barely get under that time. Expected since variable weather in racing games are still primitive that time.

Agreed. Both F1 2000 and Championship 2000 actually play better than this game does. Although, I love the soundtrack and the fact you can drive as Fernando and Kimi in this one.
