Well I remember the first thing I noticed was how different the driving mechanics are from F1 2015. It's a lot easier to oversteer the car now when accelerating. You also can't go full throttle over the curbs and expect the car to remain stable anymore. I think that's awesome and adds to the realism. If that's your thing I definitely recommend F1 2016. Also having three different tyre compounds instead of just two in 2015 adds a whole new dimension to the race.
I've never played this game or its predecessors but I think that you could've pushed it a little more on The Esses and some other places too. I've only played games like Asseto Corsa or Project Cars. No offence meant if I'm wrong. Great vid BTW.
I do always adjust the downforce levels, depending on the type of circuit. Also, I tend to run with a bit more rear wing downforce than front wing downforce to combat power oversteer.
I usually use the increased downforce setup with less wing depending on the type of track. I have no idea if this is a setup for fast times. All I know is I can drive consistently like that, which does help a lot in these 100% races.
So basically a one-stop strategy? I think that would've been very difficult. Starting on mediums and going to hard tires after that might work, but you're lapping slower than a two-stop strategy almost every single lap of the race that way.
I would not know how many stops you made since I skipped a bit, but instead of going to hard tires right at the end, you would have stuck to the mediums for the remainder of like 20~ laps. Either that, or you could have used those mediums for a couple more laps and switched to soft tires for an aggressive run towards the end. How do you manage to conserve tires so well? Any assists?
Yeah it might have been better to use mediums in the last stint. I don't use any assists though, but I try to drive as smooth as possible to conserve the tires.

I'd say try playing around with the setup of the car. I find the cars to oversteer quite a bit, so lowering the downforce on the front wing does help me a lot.
I like the 2016 physics a lot, mainly because of the increased realism compared to F1 2015. The cars oversteer more easily, which makes them feel like very powerful machines. It's also a lot harder to drive these 2016 cars on the limit because of that. Especially if your setup is off.
