In Q3, your sector 3 was about 8 tenths slower than Leclerc, so I think that's where the AI are getting their unnaturally fast pace in France.

The reason you came out ahead of LeClerc after the first stop was that he got screwed by the double stack and couldn't get out of his box, he actually pit ahead of you on the same lap

the perfect start is: hot rear tyres, rpm right where the blue lights are static not blinking with about 10% throttle, keep 10%throttle until the wheels stop spinning in 1st gear, rev the 1st gear like it was wet to about 7k then upshift to 2nd and 70% throttle and increase it without overdiong it. i use that in league races and make up like 2 pos right off the bat when im not on pole

the narration for the grid line up is so much better after the update

Ben, there's a reason why it says ' *maintain* optimal revs' instead on 'floor the revs to the limiter'. that's why you get such a bad launch even when your reaction is basically perfect.

Something to keep in mind if you didnt know is that if you run the race sim in rich engine mode it will calculate your fuel usage as if you ran the entire race in rich, makes it near impossible to reduce the delta

When you start with no traction control you’ve gotta keep the revs between about 10,300 and 11,400 rpm. Then when you start just feed the throttle in slowly like you’re coming out of a hairpin. Works for me with no traction but I’m on controller so take that with a pinch of salt

To get a good start I always use low fuel mode and go up to 10000rpm, don't squeeze the throttle 100% until you're up in 3rd gear

I don’t use traction, i also apply about the same throttle as you but keep it there longer and shift up earlier through the gears. You are really easy on the throttle but you need to keep it lower a little bit longer while shifting, full throttle from 3rd / 4th

You could just practice your race starts in Grand Prix mode - but generally speaking, 10-11k RPM max and then instead of slamming onto pedal just increase the input gradually. I found out that works decently on F1 2018 (should be same here too).

I think it's time to upgrade R&D efficiency and stuff. So many upgrades failing.

Maybe you should try to negotiate for easier team goal for more resource points

Tiametmarduk! Watch that at 7:37 you have over 12 000rpm! Keep it ALWAYS max at 10 000rpm even BEFORE the starting lights send you on your way. (This is the cause of your wheel spin right as you launch).

Your start problem is to much RPM You are approximately at 12000-12500 but the best RPM is only at 9500 - max 11000 Of course I see you plan for the start, slowly increase the RPM until the lights are off. Just try to stay at best RPM, it will help

Ben, I dont use traction control like yourself and I find that you need to short shift the start. That works for me at least. Get the Initial launch in 1st, and then short shift after that

Hey Ben. Thanks for another fun career video. In regards to race start...I’m not a great racer but I do not use any assists. I have changed my start to revs sub 11k. More like 9k to 10K and so far starts are way better in the second phase. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

try using low fuel level for traction zones. Also helps during the start a lot alongside rpm levels

It’s interesting to see how much you rely on strategy when the difficulty and your skill level is so high. I play on 80 difficulty and I find that strategy/tire care/ers management don’t effect my performance as much as it does for you. Maybe I just need to up my difficulty and challenge myself

Medium and maybe lower their expectations to like 14th and 14th to keep the happiness high AF. Its pretty easy to keep them happy so long as you aren't murdering the car.

I preffer to start Q1 with the medium tyres so you can save a set of softs for in Q2/Q3

use higher rpm by your start between your ers logo. and build up your rpm before the lights out

The only thing you can do to your contract is lower your qualifying & race position expectations. That way if you do have a bad Q&R you won't lose rep with the team.

Try upshift fast from gear 1 to 3 when you start, you have the torque

You get more wheel spin because you carry less fuel at the beginning so the A.I’s car sticks to the track more

As a league racer even I can’t match the AI off the line so it sign just you! What I do however is use lean revs and hotlap and around 12 to 12.5 thousand rpm. You just have to be so gentle on the throttle off launch

Ben, if you tell your engineer that you're boxing this lap then there is less chance that you will double-stack

They should provide an end of season read out of all team upgrades so players can check to make sure there aren't any statistical anomalies between player and ai teams.

13k revs.. but hold the pedal for 2 seconds then ease power up.. DO NOT DIP THE PEDAL or u will spin up everytime u power back up. Takes some getting used to but works for me with no traction m8

Is the one-stop strategy less powerful in a 100% race? I was just wondering, because of course on a 50% race each tire's duration is halved, but is its pace difference to the other tires halved too?

Try to start the race on Lean fuel mixture. It should reduce the wheel spin.

Hey Ben here is some advice for starts use a quarter acceleration and as soon as you release your clutch out the pedal to the metal hope this helps Ps. I follow u on Xbox im A66
