2021: It should be a red flag 2022: Why the F is there a tractor on track under yellow flag in poor visibility, wtf is wrong with the FIA. Red Flag. 2023: All red flags were justified and good use of VSC and SC, too. Consistency 😎
@@braydend9582 Yes, we need to give some credits for FIA to use Red Flag appropriately.. Gasly Ocon carnage is not FIA's fault, it's not the Red Flag's fault... The same as 2021 Hungary GP Bottas's carnage.. It's just a driver's error and we Shouldn't ever criticize FIA for not inventing a new convoluted action like in Masi era..
@@este.bahn92 for The exact Hundred of Thousands of People who mocked Masi back then? Yes.. Those Hundreds of Thousands of People would never praise FIA when making a GOOD decision, and yet they Try REALLY REALLY HARD to find some loopholes and Blame everything as FIA's fault.. Gasly's locks up creating chaos is not FIA's fault.. And yet people blame FIA is the one who created the chaos not Gasly.. what an idiot
Albon doing so well all weekend qualifying P8 and getting up to P6, just to crash out in the best position Williams have been in years is proof that the universe just straight up hates us Williams fans😭
The Sky team dunk on Tsunoda an uncomfortable amount honestly. I've switched to F1tv and it's SO much better without Kravitz the adult baby interrupting to say nothing of value.
The way I always end my F1 weekend, a comedy review. Also concidentallly after you said this video wasn't long enough for ads and finished reviewing qualifying a red bull ad popped up
At some point, even Merc fans will have to agree that Michael Masi is the most successful race director of the history of F1. The guy doesn't even work for the FIA anymore and people are still talking about him.
@MyDisappointmentIsImmesurablea lot of fabs are indeed new, and Charlie was a good one, however he did not make the safest choices at all time (although he did throw around less penalties, leading to more racing action) may he rest in peace
Micheal Masi isn't successful in the good way. He's just well known. That's it. Nothing about being successful 🤷, all people know Masi for, is Abu Dhabi 2021 for breaking the rules.
With this logic, Adolf Hitler is the most successful political figure in world history since people are still talking about him despite the fact that he's dead 😐
Crofty and Jensen Button just ignored the unbelievable moment that the whole world was under the assumption could only happen the day that pigs fly, Trump talking without speaking a single lie, or when 'hell freezes over': Hulk was in position to finish 3rd and get ONTO A F1 PODIUM! While we waited for the fia to figure out the last lap fiasco, we had Carlos P3, Hulk P4. I felt that Carlos was definitely going to get a 5 or 10 sec pen and not keep the 3rd, which ment Hulk in P3! So when they announced the order and the 5sec pen, it was just fcked for Hulky and his life long dream of NOT being the dude who started a zillon races, and never sprayed the expensive bubbly. Why the broadcast never even brought this up is beyond me.
I totally understand the penalty for Sainz… he instigated the whole crashfest. That it gets reset doesn’t matter as there are multiple cars gone thanks to his reckless action.
At first I was wondering what was that clusterfuck at the end, but now that you mention there's a ghost of Masi involved in the race and now everything makes sense.
I'm pretty mad about the thrid red flag. It would have been P4 for Haas if they had just used a safety car and the goddamn race didn't even restart afterwards, pointlessly screwing them out of their largest points haul since 2018.
As an Aussie, complaining about the time its on is a laugh..... The amount of races that happen at times between 1am > 6am, on AEST ? Youve got it lucky.
Before the race I was thinking "oh nice, the race is a RedBull sandwich". It seems that it was full of surprise culinary specialties once we sort through the absolute carnage. :D
Thanks for the reminder about the Gasly penalty situation. If there's any linearity or logic, since Sainz got a penalty for bumping Alonzo, then Gasly should get one for ramming Ocon into the wall.
I don't know why anyone's surprised this race was as chaotic and nonsensical at the end, Masi was at the track, the FIA just wanted to give him a tribute race, couldn't have done it any better then that.
They won't win, this is the same situation as silverstone last year and I overall think it was a fair call from the stewards. I am not a max fan or hamilton either.
You guys can shut up about waking up early to watch a race, us aussies over here have to do that every single week, except for the American and Japanese/Chinese races
On top of the Sainz drama, Max lined up outside of his grid box for the restart and didn't get penalized for it, adding even more to the ever growing controversy from that race. If Sainz and Gasly are getting penalized for a lap that doesn't count, how does Max get away with it 🤦♀️
Last year after the race was over I was like "Now we wait for Wills review to close the weekend". This year something happens during the race and I start hyping with the friends about the things you will say. I'll vote you for the president of FIA and for covering the races live.
Is it me. What is the poiint of starting behind the safety car for 1 lap with no overtaking? Why not just say the race is over? Am I missing something?
@MyDisappointmentIsImmesurable spot on, sainz could of easily compromised his exit onto the straight and played it safe but he decided not to and got unlucky. lucky alonso still got p3 though, the spanish media would of ripped sainz a new one
@MyDisappointmentIsImmesurable my main argument for the ‘lap didn’t happen and he got it back’ excuse is theft. If I steal things from you and bring them back several weeks later am I guilty of theft? Yes. I’m still guilty of the offence. Just like Sainz is.
8:05 where are people getting the idea that the lap was deleted from?? It clearly wasn't, and even if it was why should that exempt someone from dangerous driving?
How are you still awake enough, let alone coherent, to make a comedy review this early? Please take the rest of Sunday off to sleep this off, FP1Will! (for real, thankful for the content, but worried about your health now)
I did not even get up for the race(i put sleeping first before F1) and just catching up with the race hightlights and even with all those red flags nothing will stop Max,also calling Danny Ric RB social media slave was pretty funny.
Will, I love your videos, but your intro music is SO loud and gives me a shock every time. Can you please turn it down a little? 😅 (It even sounds like it's clipping because the volume is boosted so much)
Pretty weird that you criticise the FIA for the one single decision they actually got right. I am beginning to see a clear pattern of fans by country understanding or not understanding timing lines and it seems like that is due to the English commentators apparently being useless
Am I the only one that realizes that Perez beaching it in quali was totally deliberate. It was simply the punchline to his April Fool's joke about being a title contender 😂
Nice review, but that red flag thing is obnoxious. It’s way too loud compared to your voiceover, leaving my options as ‘hover over volume button,’ ‘turn everything down and miss parts of the narration,’ or ‘don’t bother coming back to the channel.’ (Though I quite like the videos!)
