I think a good key aspect that’s been missed, (or I just haven’t seen it properly) is how to do a race start on no TC, having trouble with just loads of wheel spin, tips or stuff would be cool :)!
i think the right thing to do is to rev up to the rpm for a good start (if its the right rpm it says on the lower right : "Maintain rpm" ) hold it there when the lights go off and then just gradually increase. (gradually but pretty quickly.) I am in the same situation as you but this is what made it a bit easier for me.
The real assist so complicated to cut is partial tracking line … because you have to change everything particulary where you look it’s nightmare… but I think it’s the best way to go forward …
The problem are these low speed corners, and I lose time compared to full traction control no matter what I do, my times with full traction are from 0.2 up to 0.7 slower (based on the track), and I can't do anything to close that gap I feel like I drive at the limit of no traction, any more acceleration and I spin, so I don't know what else to do.
I feel the same way but at the same time im only on day 2 of no TC on controller so i think more and more practice will help as im already seeing a lot of improvements from yesterday
I race with a controller on pc, and i currently use medium TC with a manual transmission. I have only had the game for a week, and once I better with throttle and brake finger pressurel, I'll switch TC off. Saving for a direct drive wheel to shave more seconds off lap time
I’ve tried and tried with no TC using controller and it’s so hard it always looks so much easier for people using wheel and pedal setups.. could you do a video using controller?
What linearity and saturation etc do you use with traction off. I’m still breaking traction with 50% diff and deflated tires. I’m braking straight at the 100 meter.

Big question: does your car spins when you go on a straight line with 40 miles an hour and you floor the accelaration? I find it too ridiculous to happen in real life.
Hey mate, do you have any idea why the steering on controller is so sensitive? I've messed around with linearity, wheel rotation and the new setting, but I just cannot get it to feel right. It's either way too sensitive or doesn't turn in. What I used to do when turning was push the stick up to make more fine movements, but now if I do that the car ends up going left to right because I can't keep my thumb still enough for how sensitive it is. It just feels like for how ridiculously high the sensitivity is, the sticks are too stiff. I'll find my self having multiple goes mid corner and straightening when I don't want to becasue otherwise I'll be turning too much. Never had this problem with the other games, my steering was smooth but now it looks like when a beginner plays and just jams the stick in one direction.
I think it’s just much different depending on the driver. I did something drastically different than what I saw online. I put deadzone around 10 and linearity at 80. It seems extreme, but I often push the trigger about 50% down when I think I’m only pushing it 25%, so this setup works for me. Also try using your middle fingers on the triggers instead of your pointers if you haven’t already. You get much better control that way
After buying the Moza R9, FSR and CRP pedals I'm determined to drive with no assists on F1 23! Currently on medium with no issues spinning like in F1 22, I'd say I'm border line switching it off but not there yet so thanks for the setup tips, definitely going to try those. Do you have any tips changing the throttle management in Moza pithouse? I have noticed my breaks are full on when my brake pedal isnt even half way compressed so I know I need to change something! All the gear, no idea springs to mind!
You can calibrate and make adjustments to your brake input in Pit House. Do this before changing settings in F1 23. But then saturation can be increased to make hitting 100% pressure easier.

Yeah, I didn't want to touch in game settings until the last resort so I'll have a play around in Pit House, I'm less than a quarter pressure on the brake and it's full brake, same with the acceleration pedal. I copy your settings for the base and they are perfect for me, so I'll see if there's a F1 preset to check if that changes the brakes / throttle and adjust the other settings to what they are now.
I’m really struggling with it on medium, even if I gently press on the trigger (use controller) never had a problem on f122. Even a slight turn of the wheel on tight corners and start to press the trigger I spin. Don’t want full tc because that’s just no fun. Literally can’t play the game lol it’s annoying but gonna go back to f122 soon because I don’t think I’m ever gonna be able to do it
Not at all. The ability to upshift without tc on at all is super beneficial. Youre able to get on full power faster in slightly higher gears. Auto in slow cornerswill put you in about 2nd gear and wont upshift till you reach the optimal shifting rpm. With tc off youll be only about half throttle for the durationof 2nd and about 70-90% in 3rd. Bing in manual lets you be in 3rd with 80% throttle and grips up much faster. If youre on controller id reccomend trying med tc with auto to see how that feels. Eventually you can learn to shift with manual on controller but it will take some getting used to. If you dont alread i would recommend a wheel setup. Nothing too fancy as i use a Logitech g920 and have manual with no tc and i love it. Overall, practice makes progress not perfect. You will find yourself spinning a lot, as well as many mistakes. But we were all there at one point and you can only improve.
