F1 24 CAREER MODE: Fuel Saving Issue Puts A WIN at Risk! Will we BOTTLE it?!

Once again the game is nothing like real F1, where you lead a race and the Clean Air doesn't give you Verstappen levels of a lead within 2 laps

Look, fuel saving is doable. But defending like that when fuel saving is not very realistic😐

Bro had the exact same problem last season at Hungary cause I remember him defending Verstappen like crazy

I suspect that part of the reason why fuel saving is so hard is because you're only attempting it at races where you are burning too much fuel. Ie, at lap 2, you supposedly have more than 1.3 extra laps of fuel. At lap 22, you're negative by more than .1. So you were basically losing .07 extra per lap. And then when the fuel saving barely moves the needle, it's because you first need to make up for that extra .07 loss just to avoid the situation getting worse. When you see .02 laps of change, you had to save almost a tenth of a lap worth of fuel. On a race where you are spending 1 lap of fuel to go 1 lap by default, you would probably find the fuel saving strategies to be more impactful (if you decided to try them) because each bit of fuel saved is going to improve your stored fuel number instead of having most of it make up for the extra burn first.
