F1 24 will have a major update on four of it's tracks compared to F1 23: Spa-Francorchamps, Jeddah, Silverstone and Lusail. We ran them all in both games to get a side-by-side comparison of the gameplay, as well as to see the graphical and sound changes.

There is an 'onboard mix' option which simulates how it sounds from a drivers POV, a bit muffled.

Imagine caring about sound changes and graphics which were very good already than driving physics which have been massively improved this year to feel more like an F1 car and less than a typical racing car in terms of aerodynamics and downforce

Same thing for other annualized games, nba2k, fifa, madden, cod. Same game, different year. I've stopped buying every year. I skip it atleast a couple years between releases.

Do not buy sports games every year unless you get them for free. So much stays the same it’s pretty much a reskin. In the early F1 game days, you used to be able to add skins and more tracks and stuff.

Crazy how they managed to make the cars sound even more unrealistic, the upshifts sound so weird. Only audio improvement is with the offboard replay camera

Yes... What a shame we have better handling and got rid of the unrealistic loss of traction on acceleration and now the cars turn very fast like real F1 cars that have supreme aerodynamics... 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Visually and audibly, they seem subtly different - not better or worse to my untrained eye, just different. I am sure that there is more going on under the hood though. I will buy and try - if it doesn't feel like a £60 improvement over F1 23, I'll refund and wait for it to be on sale - which is what I did with F1 22/23.

The F123 engines are awful sounding. Most likely because the actual cars sound horrible.

no offense meant but who cares about that ? what matters is the horrible physics and the really worst force feedback of all racers out there. it's not even embarrassing anymore that a game that exists for so long still has the worst driving experience of all. but that's how it is with an arcade game where you actually play with a joystick. why buy a direct drive for a lot of money? be sorry but an absolute no go and slowly not to be taken seriously anymore. graphics are totally secondary.
