@@zentorifu9040 Kimi would probably be the type of teacher that doesn't do anything other than the curriculum oblige and doesn't care if you slacking but suddenly become very serious near the exam and demand everyone to pay attention because he actually leaks answer in his lecture
“Normal” drivers: *explain everything clearly and properly*... Kimi: “winner gets 25 probably uhhhhhm second 18... 15 uhhhhhhm and from there 10th get 1 and everyone can count...” Never change Kimi.
@@PilotJohnSilver this video is not for you smart guy, this is for bringing new fans so there is a lot of points here and they need to explain even better knowing this fact.
I love his apparent disinterest. Remember, this is the guy that took an actual nap before his FIRST EVER F1 RACE! That attitude, one must admit, got him pretty far. He is, in fact, the reigning Ferrari champion.

@@sneakysnake7695 Dude is racing in a 10 mil dollar car which can go up to 300 kmph ish speeds while literally millions are watching him, doing interviews, fan signings, practicing with a huge team for a whole year run competition which is defined like "pinnacle of racing". And is broadcasted from major media sources to all over the world. And you call the exact same dude an introvert. Just because you feel like one, doesnt make you an introvert. And it most definitely doesnt make kimi an introvert either. Grow up or wake up. Quiet doesnt mean introvert.

hands down had the best laymans explanations. everybody loves hearing that F1 cars are in fact just cars and that if you mess them up they make weird noises and don't work the way they are supposed to even though they cost millions of dollars to R and D.
@@senor.waffle8448 Doesn't really matter though, he will gain enough experience to be half-decent. Williams is cashing so much from him, I hope he finds himself because he is a really likeable guy. As seen in this video!
@@cinegraphics , to be fair to Kimi, the points system had only changed once in 52 years years (changing a win from 9 to 10 points). And in his career they've significantly changed the scoring system twice, and then last season they added the fastest lap point.
Gasly: « An apex is the point you have to reach in the middle of a corner, which is most of the time at the apex... » So basically the apex is the apex of a corner. Got it!
That's cuz they shot this right before testing sessions I understand why u think that LOL (I know because my dad was one of the filmsmen behind the scenes and I got to go there)
From the smal amount of engineering I can remember, the "apex" is the point in the corner from which you will get the biggest turning circle beginning from the outside, therefore the most possibility for higher speed. But it will also give you the longest possible line, meaning that the cars exceed the actual length of the track because they prefer the higher speed vs shortest way.
Ivan Macias how about magnussen gasly and checo? And who’s that driving for williams? I’m not acquainted with him yet, is he a native, kinda has a weird accent but I’m not gonna guess
I remember Sebastian Vettel describing understeer and oversteer with an eloquent walter rohrl quote "Understeer is when you see the tree, oversteer is when you hear it"
Carlos and George: Teachers that explain stuff better than others Kvyat: Foreign teacher Ricciardo and Albon: The funny type Hamilton: The boring type Kimi: An easy A type
None of them said that the apex is the point which allows you to hold the most speed and brake the least. The point the semi circle of the turn hits to have the smallest angular curve
@@EverSnaxolotl 5:54. He explains what understeer is and then he repeats what are we talking about (pretty much saying "that thing I've just talked about is understeer"). Nowhere near as tyre wear is when the tyres start wearing
"You drive down the road, turn the wheel, but the car goes straight on, crashes into a tree and you die." oversteer is "You drive down the same bit of road, turn the wheel, but the back of the car comes round like this , and you go off the road, crash into a tree and you die." “Oversteer is best 'cause you don't see the tree that kills you."
a drift is actually a combination of oversteer (in the beginning) and understeer (maintaining balance through correction). during the correction phase, you are essentially understeering
