Back when youd only get one or two celebs on the grid and they would be genuine racing fans. Plus the national anthem was just played more like background music rather than an event where everyone had to stop to listen to a local singer murdering the lyrics lol.
Martin IS the boss. Bernie had his faults but you don’t turn F1 into what it his today without his acumen and awareness of TV coverage sponsorship and fan base, he knew what gridwalks were about and how to keep the TV companies and viewers happy. He had his time but boy what a time he had and what a job he did.
SHAKILL ONIL yeah i never knew shaq attended a race, specially in germany, if that was Dirk Nowitzki I wouldn't be surprised. we didn't have itv bbc or sky broadcast back then in asia just the espn star sports one where they dub over races, so thank you for the footage.
The young Kai Ebel in the background of the Montoya interview doing the same as Martin just for German TV... This really reminds me of wathing F1 with my father when I was younger ;D
