No one laughs at them mate, everyone's just sad how they have fallen and lauds them for the job they are doing currently considering the resources they have.
@path op the drivers are mighty talented, it's the car that needs to be more aerodynamic! It's the car. F1 is all cars! LH 7 world titles is because of the car.
And now they might also break Ferrari’s record for winning most back-to-back world championship seasons in a row. Now I’m praying for Max Verstappen to win the next remaining races to preserve Ferrari’s record.
For those of you that havent seen it yet, there is a movie called 'Williams' in Netflix and Virginia Williams also wrote a book called 'A different kind of life' that talks about the first years of Frank in racing, the accident and the years after it. 10/10 both of them.
@@Segatron1991 Frank Dernie is a British Engineer, who invented active suspension for Formula One cars. He was the first to use CAD (Computer Aided Design) and it was in 1987 with team Williams. This was decades before Engineers could utilize CAD software at such a professional level, plus it was very advanced for its time.
Love you lots Williams 💙 Get on that podium again. I'll be straight guys, I really had tears in my eyes seeing this vid..... I just pray that one day it'll be tears of joy seeing the Williams team on the podium
Bernie Ecclestone has completely ignored the internet. I'm so glad the new owner's care so much more about fan's around the world. Ecclestone has lived in a rich man's bubble, isolating the F1 from common fan's as much as possible. Yeah I liked the car's of the 1980s 1990's early 2000s more (pre hybrid era) but under the new ownership F1 is getting better again.
That was an excellent tribute. I am one of those who watched Nigel Mansell, that era drew me in, sparked my interest in F1. I wish Williams all the best for the future, they are at the heart of F1.
My favourite team in F1. I only started watching in 2018 but I sort of fell in love with the team and it's family atmosphere. Then I started to learn the history and discovered that my dad followed Williams in the Mansell days. I'm excited to be part of their next chapter in history and feel that the only way is up.
As a young f1 fan, I must say I am truly astonished by the achievements of Williams racing. I had no idea they were so great in the past. Sad to see them today.
Beautiful story! It might sound childish but when got my first F1 game for PSX it was back in 97 and the Renault Williams was the car I raced with all the time as Jacques Villeneuve.
With Dorilton they found the right people to carry the team. They love Williams, they stand for everything Frank stood for, they offered them to keep their positions in the team as well, they bought the team to ensure the Williams legacy can live on. Thank you Dorilton Capital for saving the most legendary team in F1 history, I'm sure eventually they will get back up again
Such a wholesome story!! ❤️❤️❤️ I hope that Williams will be competitive 2022 and onwards. Thanks to that budget cap, now all the teams will be at their “level”, and will hopefully create spectacular battles!! 😁😁😁
This team is the outcome of a man who just loved racing so much he put his whole life to it. Because of that their history is rich and are always one of f1’s greatest teams
Technically, he does own Alfa Romeo Racing, having 1/3rd ownership in the F1 team as well as formed Räikkönen-Robertson Racing (Double R Racing) and IceOne Racing for F3 and WRC respectively
It's a shame that Williams never parlayed their formula 1 pedigree to go into selling road and track cars to have a business model that actually made them profitable. Such a shame.
