@@byGiNeSiToX That's what I hope too, but I don't think it will happen. Too many good young F1 drivers now, which they don't have to pay as much as Fernando. The combination of this and the fact there are only a few good F1 teams means I don't see it happening for Alonso (as much as I would like to see it). Ferrari nor Mercedes will take the 'risk' of putting Alonso in their car against Ham or Vet as they all remember what happened between Alonso & Ham when they were at McLaren.

@@lou6977 No he's not. Lewis is not better. Alonso is the complete driver. Lewis has never won with an inferior car. But Alonso took that mediocre Ferrari and almost won the title 3x only for Ferrari to fail him when it mattered. He lost both titles in 2010 and 2012 because Ferrari made errors in the last race. Lewis wouldn't have done a better job on that Ferrari than Fernando despite the car being 4th fastest on the grid. The fact that Alonso came close to the title is a miracle and a true testament of his talent. In fact Andrew Benson reports that people within Ferrari think Alonso would have won this year's title if he had been in Ferrari instead of Vettel.

Here luck is not the culprit. Alonso arouses a lot of envy within the "maFia" and there are many tricks that the general public does not know against Alonso. Without these impediments, Alonso years ago had had more titles than Michael Schumacher.
