OUCH!!! That must've stung a bit. Still, so long as the damage is limited to the "skin", they will be back in the race soon. And what an awesome sound!
It's exciting that someone is willing to risk driving such a rare car in a situation where they can crash like this. Could be why the fans got hyped up
Seeing a beautiful rare car like that crashing really hurt me and then I could hurt that guy cheering for that. That dum fock I hate assholes like that glowing over somebody else’s bad luck
Had the luxury of riding in one of these with the top off... the air intake above your head is unreal when the pedal gets pushed hard. Amazing machine.
Amazing noise. One of the greatest GT cars ever. Didn't know they had a sequential box...much cooler than paddles! Fond memories of watching Bartels on the limit at Festival of Speed. Can't wait to see the GT1 at Members' meeting this April.
I was watching this clip on the edge of my seat having read the title and I actually exclaimed in agony when I saw him loose it, its not something regular visitors to this channel like to see. I'm glad it was not a major crash.
Beautiful car and it does not get better than seeing it being driven , note to all these people buying cars as investments , you may have money but your balls will never be as big as this mans , top video thank you for sharing , keep up the good work !!
I was watching this video thanking man that car looks expensive to have to fix. I sure wouldn't want to try to drive that thing at the limit. And then I see the wreck at the end. Bummer.
yo dudes, audio is in one ear in the beginning. It's fairly easy to fix it, in premiere go to effects, under audio effects, fill right with left. Now premiere uses audio from the left side to fill in the missing right side. (it can be done with every editing program)
Yeah, we noticed that now...something happened during the upload of the video by RU-vid. We´ll see what can be done now that the video is already online.
Who remembers GT1 in '05 '06. These Masers were dominant but I liked the Matek Ford GT in that series. Thought they always got overly hindering restrictions. Beautiful car. To bad. Got caught pushing to hard at the wrong place. Esses can rarely make up time...they can only maintain the pace of the lap or coarse. They can however LOSE you a ton of time and more if you try and use them to make time
Gotta be honest here, didn't read the title properly, i just read "F1 sound Maserati", and i was like "yea boi", so when the car was spinning i genuinely was like "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
Aww,that oversteer at the end simply couldn't be corrected but i'm glad there is a nice outside footage and onboard without crashing.Who knows what time he'd make if car didn't go tail happy. And everyone got upset about that crash because it's expensive GT car but truth is,speed wasn't that big so damage was only cosmetic.Well,on the other hand,in case car got totaled,i'd be like "fuck the car, hope the driver is okay".
First one is the unit used for Endurance Racing with all the added functionalities for that kind of Racing, the second one, it´s a simpler unit displaying the info needed for a much shorter Hilllcimb run ;)
Did it get above 3rd gear at any point? I appreciate it would have very long gearing, so that's impressive! Well deserved applause for coming unstuck while actually trying 👏
@@HillClimbMonsters BUt this car has no limit after the end of the champiochip ,this is the same car was for sale few years ago, and they put the specs, +800hps
Not really butthurt (MC12 technology was nothing revolutionary, neither the road version nor the GT1) but it showed that the GT1 rules were not written like they were supposed to in order to create a pool of cars of the type the rule makers wanted. So in that regard the rules were bad in typical FIA fashion and it showed that the FIA and SRO had learned nothing from what happened with the original GT1 class. Though at least the FIA and IMSA allowed a revised version of the car to race which in contrast the ACO never did.
But honestly, putting a GT1 car on a bendy country road is doing it a disservice. It is probably amazing to drive it there but I've mostly seen the driver shift back into and drive in second gear
@@HillClimbMonsters I guess it's like group B rally where the cars were so overpowered that they could never really strech their legs properly. Seems to me like it would be a great challenge of driver skill and also a test of one's patience :)
Looks to me like he apexed too early, saw that he was never going to make the next turn, and swung the wheel over hard left, which caused the backend to loose traction.
