SUMMARY & PERSONAL THOUGHTS
This Detail was a great experience! An F10 M5 Competition. A Wildly Classy, Twin Turbo V8 saloon-class car that is just a beauty to work with. After getting the outside completely detailed and cleaned, we moved inside to get it fully decontaminated in preparation for Correction. As you could tell from the opening shots though, definitely need a VERY thorough cleaning before any kind of decon.
As for the Correction Process, I mean its a newer BMW, so the paint wasn't necessarily easy to work with. Which meant I had to switch up the compound from Sonax Cut Max, to something a bit more aggressive to help out, that being Meguiar's M105 Compound. This is some HEAVY cutting stuff, and when matched with a Meguiar's Microfiber Cutting Pad, it did a faaaaaaaaaaantastic job! Cutting became super easy with the 5", 3", and 1" pads. One thing I noticed too, it was easier to clean my pads with this stuff than it was to clean out pads that had Cutmax in them. I'm talking, a MASSIVELY easier cleaning process.
Overall though, we Polished with Sonax Perfect Finish + Rupes Yellow Pad as usual, and the paint just turned to gold. It was so insanely glossy. The Singapore Grey Metallic was an absolute JOY to polish. I haven't seen a car look SO physically WET after polishing than this one. Well, I have, but it's been a minute. Once coated with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light & EXO V4, we waited for the next day. Threw some Bead Maker on the paint for that extra POP! And we were done! What a JOB! Loved this car...
