Thanks for the great content. I am going to be embarking on this journey down the rabbit hole next week. I have watched quite a few videos and everyone leaves the gas tank in place. I hadn’t seen the donor car yet but it will be here Friday. Is there a reason not to go with a mustang style tank and have a normal bed floor? I am assuming that you also have frame issues. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
If you are using the cars complete frame there will be issues even if you change the tank out. If you change the tank out you dont have to raise the truck bed as much. I built mine with the car tank because of cost. I didnt want to spend a ton of money on this truck as it will only be a daily driver to pick up parts for the shop.
