Really interesting discussion, great video man. Another thing I would mention is that as you're pushing T5, you're going to naturally get VIP from your alliance members making purchases. Those free VIP points are essentially gems when looking at it from that perspective, so you're saving a lot of gems by pushing T5 first (assuming your alliance is active, makes purchases, etc.)
I can’t wait to be a mere 30m power player 😆 I’m currently half that on 220 days VIP 9 😩..I’ve made a fair few mistakes admittedly (didn’t realise this game was gonna consume my life 😂) ..I will iron out the mistakes eventually. You’ve got some real commitment to get where you have F2P in the time you’ve done it. Love your content dude keep it up 👏

I respect from where you are coming from and you made some good points but i disagree with you . Power gives respect that’s true ... whoever power becomes a liability when you don’t have the kills/ deaths to back it up . I am in a fighter alliance where respect is given to fighters not power players . What are you with a player thats 50 million power if he doesn’t fight in kvk . i got my props for being a fighter and having 1.5 million t5 kills as 20 million power player in kvk1 . Individually going for t5 is great but kingdomwise you have to look at whats in the best interest of your kingdom ... if you take top 300 seat in your kingdom you have to be someone who is a warrior because matchmaking is set according to your top 300 players power lever.. and for f2p to fight with t5 on open field consistently is really difficult if you don’t have the comms to back it up .. if i see a t5 player on the field with half baked comms .. thats barbecue chicken 🍗 . I choose the vip14 road because i saw how effective i was for my kingdom on the open field supporting my t5 players because i had max commanders that did big damage on my opponent . What’s more attractive to a kingdom a 30 million player with 40 million kills ( mainly t4 and t5 ) or a 50 million player with 30 million kills (with low t5 kills ) .
I purposely hinder my progress to t5 and there's a 70,000,000 power guy who's genuinely afraid of dead troops and boastful when there's something involve a rally you'll see excuses and run off how about that and he is t5 in a sense I have to fight a guy in his stead when I'm fighting my copy already

@@Markandism I have to pay 100000 gems on castle to upgrade from level 21 to level 25. I AM at VIP12 but 400000 points, so I need 100000 Gems to go VIP13. And later to VIP14 . If I get 500VIP points daily, I will need 200 days to take 100000 VIP points , so by paying gems I will arrive VIP14 in 200 days before so I makes only 200 Golden Sculptures. So the choice is : do you want T5 or 200 Golden Sculptures...?
And here i am making weaker t5 run with my t4. Commanders play a big role. I do have t5 but i'm having more fun with t4. They are faster they cost less to make they take alot less rss and speedups to heal and with expertised legendary commanders with good gear you can make T5's run for their lives🤣

All the events you mentionned (Cerolii Crisis / Ian's Ballad / Ceroli assault / Golden Kingdom / Shadow Legions) can be completed at max level (Hell) and with max rewards without T5 troops. The only event that "requires" T5 troops is "Armmaster", but it depends of your Kingdom. If you are in an uber strong Kingdom, you will be rekt by governores with better commanders and equipment.
@@12inchpvpness Then I'm certainly en exception, because I hit this power requirment without a single T5 troop. And thx, I know how to play Armmaster, but when you have 100 people that can score more than 305k points in the event, then it's pretty hard to be well ranked :-)
@@12inchpvpness I was able to unlock T5 after 8 months of gameplay, but decided not too. I'm at 61m power now after one year, so yes, I think I reached 50M in 10 months, can't really remember to be honest, maybe I can find some screenshots. The only thing I do differently from you is that I researched other tech before T5. Otherwise I farm gems like you and chain barbs all the time. And if both of us were able to do it, the other players can too.
Finally!! This point about 'having T5 with bad commander' is so rubbish. People dont realize having VIP14 instead of VIP12 is NOT what will make the difference between having a good set of commander or not.
Marc Andenmatten jumping from vip 12 to 14, will allow you to max an extra legendary commander every 2+ year.... so I repeat, this is not making any significant difference. +50% might sound like a sweet boost and people often fall into this trap. The brutal reality is that the baseline of 2 (or 3) daily gold heads is so low compared to the 690 heads needed to max a legendary, that it doesn’t even barely have an impact. 80% of your golds heads will come from events, not dailies. In that light, prioritizing t5 over VIP14 makes a ton of sense. You’ll win more event with t5 available and will make up for most of the opportunity cost of deprioritizing VIP14. Eventually, you’ll reach VIP14, but it’s less crucial than t5
@@Markandism well I totally disagree with your point. VIP 17 will probably never be attained by 99.9% of F2P, so it's not really an achievable goal. Othar than that, T5 are definitely needed to win event in A, B and even C kingdoms. I could make a case for D kingdoms, but those are so low populated than they have a low share of F2P anyways
In any case i don't agree with this video. VIP is always on first place, no matter if you are p2p or f2p vip is always first choice. What is the hardest thing to get in this game? Its Gold heads and commnaders. Overtime u will get t5 sooner or later but gold heads you need more and more and more... The difference for f2p is u can't get 5 Legendary combos but u can get 1 with decent purple equipment but more you play u will get more in one point only difference between f2p and p2p will be equipment but both will have t5 and legendary commanders (p2p for sure more commanders but f2p will have chance of fighting and u can play and have fun). When u finish t5 research there is nothing more to do reasearch speedups become usless u cant use them nowhere. Legendary heads and equipment is future play that you need to focus. f2p making one pair by one with decent purple equipment but p2p will do the same just with golden equipment. f2p never focus on rally commanders always focus on open field commanders. f2p open 10 alts if you need farm rss so you always have enough for healing and u can always assist stronger players. Find your role, support, garrison, rally or open filed fighter and go till the end don't change your mind. In this game time is the biggest issue and mistakes that you made are expensive because you need time to make something. And Vip14 gives u more troop capacity, gathering speed and most important material production speed plus all rss production. So you are not losing only 200 sculptures u are actualy loosing a lot. If you say that average gold head is around 1200gems (various events and shops) and u check the price of materials you can do the math on your own to see what you are loosing. My personal advice for any kind of players is first get vip14 and after that start focusing on equipment. T5 will come if you are active f2p don't worry about t5. For example t5 with suntzu/mundeok and t5 with Richard/Mundeok its not the same. And if you put for example Richard with purple equipment all prock to inf and Richard with golden equipment u will find the difference but the point is which one will you choose to go. Make a plan for yourself and before you choose something check 10 times and when u do that check 11th time, don't be the player who is doing the tests be the player with vision and who knows what is doing. If you are on a newer kingdom seek the advice from players who are on older kingdoms.
I'm a little over 50M power, VIP 15, and i eat weak t5 players for breakfast lunch and dinner in kvk, VIP 14 is more important then t5, idc how much power someone has, if they don't have good commands, they'll get melted , I'm at 80M+ kills all t4 and t5 EDIT: I use t4 alot too, because cheaper to heal, and still get 1:1 trades against t5s with bad commanders
@@12inchpvpnessT5 is needd for "Armmaster event" and ... That's it ... VIP 14 is needed to max commanders, which is the most tedious thing to do in RoK
I still have one question: Are you able to use T5 for fighting in KVK? I think, you can only let them die in rallies/def. So you will use T4 for open field. And then I would like to have better commanders because war tech tree of lvl 24 academy is almost as good as maxed or am I wrong?

Just want to say 1) good video but 2) your idea on not being able to solo shadow legion without max tech isn’t true. I do it without it (all 9s except siege). But I also do it with a max arte, max ysg.
Farming alone won't help it takes more time. Farm gems attack barbarians win events to get gems kvk is the best time to do so and only spend gems in more then gems event to get the best value. That's what i did.
@@12inchpvpness I understand , I think you make valid points. But I get rewards from kvk i am 38mil power and I got rewards when I was 21mil power. I barely got vip14 and now I am going to focus on maxing my castle. I get a lot of enjoyment from leveling up commamders. I am not a f2p but I am not a whale. I am a low spender and play the way that brings me most enjoyment. But you provide good content for f2p and you should break down how long and how you achieved t5 in that timeline so all f2p will stop asking on facebook and discord lol
Do forts with your farm acc. Send a little amount of troops from your farm. This is the way to get high lvl tier rewards. Below lvl5 fort, will give you 5books if you get 70% damage. I use this way to get books faster. I did using the neutral action point 1500, i get at least 40 books. If you are lucky, u will get more than that.
I'm f2p with 35m power with vip15 at 250 days of playing. All I did was joining a high p2w alliance before kvk1. And people respect you based on how much you pay
VIP15 in 250 days is quite impressive ! I reached VIP13 in the same time, and the difference between both VIp is 500k points. That's an absurd amount of gold chests lol
The secret is out boys🏃🏃 I agree, Ceroli , Ian's Ballads and M.G.E amongst other events is a lot to give up for V.I.P . I'd honestly give it up for V.I.P 10, t5 will bring back the sculptures in events e.g Osiris, I'd rather have just two expertised legendary commanders with good equipment leading t5 infantry which I'm almost doing at VIP9, I agree, I kinda feel like my presence is insignificant as an around 30 mill power player cause I'm sorrounded by t5 players. T5 gives you options, the option to fight other people (which you wouldn't fight with t4) The option to move to a kingdom/alliance of your choice. Kills and deaths will bring themselves if I have the presence in the battlefield. I'll pick my battles, If it's someone who I stand no chance against, I'll keep off and avoid unnecessary losses. I'll also have the option of fighting with t4 to cut my losses but with the power of t5. Once you have t5, you just win Ceroli and golden kingdom, equipment just brings itself without much struggle, the gems that you get plus the tech to farm them will propel the next V.I.P levels.
What about t5 over equipment events? T4 to t5 is only 10 to 15% stat change on atk,def,hp. So having t4 but great gear is the same as having bad gear and t5. The issue is the spending of gems. Should you rush it or just wait to naturally get books and arrows

VIP12, 244 days in. In line with the point of this video: Would you say that it's worth spending gems on Books for Castle 25? I have no problem spamming barbs for Arrows (already Watchtower 24) but for the life of me I can't imagine joining rallies to get all those books. My Castle is stuck at level 16, to put things into perspective.
What do you think is the best way to farm castle books? Forts or barbs, forts seems to costly for ap and you get the book 1/3 of the time whereby you keep getting gems from barb(more often & faster) and able to purchase books with it
I don’t agree with some of your statements. I’ve been in K1079 since over 2 years ago. I’m a F2P player and I don’t get smoked and I have been a major part of my kingdoms end game. I came 2nd place in MGE coz I went and smashed up multiple cities. I am 55m power and have 5m dead and am not a lost cause without T5. The way to play is to play smart fella. I have stacks of rss and gear and shed load of equipment. To all those F2P payers. Your T4 do more damage and are more supportive than mentioned.
@@12inchpvpness To unlock T5, you received 5B ressources assistance from your alliance teammates. Do you plan to ask them again some ressources to get a good ranking in MGE ? If you are in a competitive Kingdom, you can forget about a good spot in MGE. And no point giving 180 heads to a f2p, it's a better use to give them to a spender (in fixed MGE of course)
@@RandyRodgirth If I say you can, it's probably because I did it ? If you think you need to gems your castle, that's good for you. Or you can farm books efficiently for 200 days and invest your gems in VIP points instead.
Marc Andenmatten you got to castle 25 in 200 days by spending no gems or ap? That’s around 20k books, you’d have to do at least 7k forts in 6/7 months to do that, probably more, while not even using ap pots?
Lol. Have u ever gone field battle (pvp) with it ? Or u just use ur t5 for pve? People that said when you have t5 immediately ur kills will go up because of it..might not have t5 yet or maybe they just go around killing farmers with t5.
