I wonder if any Paper Mario 64 mod will show here... I would like to see a mod which gives HP to the Partners like in TTYD, but that would be absolutely crazy-- what are the odds of something like that happening?
I gotta know where I can find those Paper Mario rom hacks! Where can I find the link? Searching the web, but I'm seeing just past versions of TTYD64. Edit: Found the download and it's amazing!
Blown away by the sheer quality and effort that goes into this thanks Kaze Edit: And of course everyone who worked so hard on this fan work for free it’s the stuff of dreams
My guess is the Zelda 64 Mod has no links to any info or website in order to prevent any cease and desist from Nintendo. Which is smart. We'll be able to play it when it's done and once it's out Nintendo won't be able to do anything.
Yeah, I really have been looking forward for a new zelda 64 rom hack ever since the original zelda 64 project got cancelled years ago I would want to find out aswell
Kaze you are such a god send to the nintendo community, thank you so much for the content you provide and how you bring us all together for moments like this
WHAT. THE ACTUAL. F*CK a dmc mod for a hat in time????? i 100%ed the game on console and for whatever reason bought it again for pc afterwards thinking it was a misbuy as i realized i wasnt interested in it anymore.. and suddenly, its not a misbuy anymore! POG
Hi Kaze, I love all your work, I am hoping and wishing that Return to Yoshi's island is still coming to us soon? The Demo was brilliant and the graphics stunning for an N64! you are a brilliant programmer mate.. keep up the good work ;o)
Agreed. Sometimes something like "Out now" would pop out on screen right after one trailer ends, and just before the title card for another trailer popped in, making it a bit more difficult than it should be to figure out which game was "out now"
The problem is that they're trying to fit in all the trailers in just 45 minutes, which is ultimately broken anyway. I do hope next year we can have something longer, or better yet just have multiple days of showcases instead.
i mean its not too hard for a digital event to outlive a VERY expensive physical one. the pandemic didnt help things. well i mean it help a lot of businesses realize the amount of money spent on those events wasnt worth it these days.
31:34 So random and yet so cool. Loved the music of the PC version, so can't wait to hear unreleased songs by the same composer. 32:35 Even more coincidental that the original PC version also gets a mod this year!
I read some time ago on the Halleys Comet Software server that someone was able to contact the composer Masson. He sent him MP3 files that are renderings of his original midi and soundbank files before they were "converted" by UbiSoft. These MP3 files do not contain any of the buggy errors. However, the MP3s are not public and only shared privately. Maybe the dev team totally neglected the N64 version and imported the music at the last minute.
Thanks for including Crash Bandicoot Back in Time in the show, it was a real pleasure. Congrats to the other submitters for the awesome work, look forward to the next one!
Is there a place where I can see the full list of projects and links? Wow I am overwhelmed by the quality *and* quantity of announcements today! Great job hosting Kaze, great editing team, and especially great work all the dev teams!
@illdie314 Looks like they took a bunch of beta assets and made it into a playable game. Would love if there was more info though.. a site or something I can keep an eye out for so I can play it when it releases.
I think we can agree that the Zelda 64 trailer at the end stole the show! And just when I've been making plans to do a mod based on Zelda 64 myself too! I'm glad somebody else beat me to it! I just hope the mod devs actually finish the mod, release the mod, and that their mod is as good as it looks. I am so excited to see that I may finally get to play a version of Zelda 64 that isn't just OoT, some remix of OoT, or something else entirely, but actually a take on the real Zelda 64 this time, sometime in the near future. This is by far the best F3 ever because of that trailer alone! I have been waiting literally decades to finally play Zelda 64!
With how big the modding community is and how many mods/fan games are done every month, it sometimes feels like one F3 a year isn't enough, I think there should be some Mini directs once a month to show off more of the amazing things that people do!
I would like multiple showcase days, like a day 1 and day 2 on the weekend. While also keeping the an easier deadline for the creators instead of multiple per year.
Thanks for including Mario Royale Deluxe, it's been tough getting new players for the game so having it featured in F3 boosted our confidence in making the game.
These are all amazing! But I really must say, I am super jealous of the kids today due to that Mario Maker on the TI Calculator. The most advanced thing I remember seeing was a little Chao tamagotchi pet thing on our calculators 16 years ago.
If anyone is interested in pikmin mods, the modding scene has really exploded in the last 2 or so years. Here r some great pikmin 2 mods: Pikmin 216 Pikmin 251 Pikmin 1 squared Pikmin Colossal Caverns Pikmin S Puffman Quest And breathtaking HD texture packs by Henriko Magnifico which recently received massive updates to both pikmin 1 and 2. (Unfortunately, pikmin New Fortune’s development was discontinued).
First time watcher f an F3 event, this is so cool! A question, as new as I am to the depths of the romhack community, what was that last romhack called Zelda 64? It seems like a big deal in the community but I'm kinda uninitiated 😅
It's based on the initial look of Ocarina of Time before the game even had that title -- so at the time it was simply know as "The Legend of Zelda 64" or "Zelda 64" for short. Look it up on The Cutting Room Floor and watch some of the really early footage of the game, you'll recognize a lot of it from the trailer you saw here.
This was an amazing video but I'd like to suggest just one thing... Can we get better transitions between trailers? It really is hard to tell at times when one ends and another starts. Otherwise I'm pretty hyped for some of this!
im confused with the Majora romhack(s) you stated that OoT was recently decomped, did you mean Majora or are is that Light Arrow romhack actually an OoT romhack? and is there any more info on that last thing? i was expecting a name drop and maybe a TBD for a release date.
