An AWESOME racing game with that Sega charm and looks great today! I think this was underappreciated in its day. Again, being 2017 today, this game was released 18 years ago! Thanks for the video. It looks amazing in HD.
@@moundain4220 The dreamcast version is supposed to look better than the PS2 port since they're sharing components with the AM2, the arcade machine this game was made for.
This game itself actually taught me how to drive a stick! When I worked at Dave and Busters I would always hide playing this game in this gigantic box where it had 3 monitors and a stick shift that made it so real!!!!
Its amazing how many people on youtube play this game with all the assists on. It even specifically says in the game itself turning off all assists will improve your lap times.
I played this game so many times as a kid and only got 1st place once in my lifetime. Is this game hard by default or did I something wrong because your gameplay was similar to mine and you also haven't managed to reach 1st place. You played slightly better than me though.
F355 Challenge is precisely the game I used to see how well PCSX2 worked on my potato laptop from 2013. Technically it works but it's so slow as to be unplayable, although I was playing from the DVD-ROM drive. Perhaps I should just rip it and see if that speeds things up.
youre emulating the wrong version of this game! ps2 version lacks analog throttling for some reason, even tho ps2 can support it. Its better to emulate dreamcast version instead, it should run better too with nulldc emulator
@@artoub8143 I was testing PCSX2 so obviously I was going to use a Playstation 2 game. I don't think a Dreamcast emulator would work well on this potato laptop from 2013 either.
Did not get a chance to play this but heard about this game and managed to find a similar thing on rFactor 2. Not quite the same feeling but I tried it on Suzuka: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9djypLQIflA.html. Good fun!
