That truck is such a good looking rig, but as a drag truck, it's another level. Just like a 'run what you brung' session, somewhere in the southern states of the US. Awesome. 🤘🏻
Being longer and a working gyro has sorted direction, maybe remove the mirrors add a wing like the Traxxas style, get the wheelie bar nearer the ground would help get the front droop to happen quicker so steering is available, yep I think you have invented another class and I would love to see it happen this is the best transition I have seen done to the truck on here and you have nailed it.
Awsome , now some tuning , suspension and aerodynamic mods , splitter/wing and a smooth drag track . Well as Derric on VGG would say 78.9% it's got breaks but we'll pretend we didn't see that.
My plan is to do this to my Cen when it retires from the RC tow world. I'm pretty sure my 450 will crush it on 8s xmaxx power. Looking forward to it. Nice build
I seen the truck in one of your recent vids and said to myself, no way he made that into a drag truck. Sure shit mate! This is one of the coolest no prep rcs I've seen. What interests me so much is that I want to build a solid axle real scale type of no prep car and you did it with a truck! So cool.
I just got some Traxxas bead lock short course wheels that fit Drag tyres perfectly. They also work on the rear of the 124018 and 124019 and disabling the front diff can make an on or off road Drag car with the Drag slicks or dirt tyres they came with.
Wow this is Candy YumYumYum. That Esc is 60 amp huh. Those white strips on the tires are so clean. And the gps safely nestled away…..yaaaaah me likey. I’m building a couple different drag Riggs one of which is a Midnight Pumpkin that I hope to get to 1.0 g…. Your content is always on mark good Buddy
You could get a fast pass out of the truck on 3s with a locked diff and good no prep esc and tuning. Pull power down low and bring it in as the wheel speed comes on, same way we do it on 1:1 no prep drag cars in the US. Or since its not class legal anyways, set it up like a irl diesel drag truck, throw another set of slicks on the front with the 3s and send it on some wild 4x4 launches! If you keep it rwd you might want to try to get more down travel in the front suspension, so it will keep the tires on the ground when it lifts the front a bit instead of immediately pulling the tires off the ground. If you can pair slack downtravel in the front with decently stiff uptravel/bump stiffness it will set back on the rear tires and stay there 👍
First person to do this with this truck as far as i know. And it is awesome congrats on this idea. If i was this company I would just all over this idea. While this no prep is hot. So cool
Awesome Build Tomley! You are such a sympathetic person! Every new video put me a big smile on my face. Thanks a lot mate for making all that superb content! 🙌👍🥳💪😎🔥
In 1:1 no prep drag racing you need about as much power as you can use on the top end. We pull lots of power down low and roll it in as the wheel speed comes on to keep traction. You need the big power on the top end so you don't get run down every pass 👍
This looks great. I want to build one now. Looks like something that would take off here in the states. Keep up the great content and look forward to other cool builds.
G ..!! I think you just made a new class. Lol!! Hahahaha!!! 😜😜😜😂🤣😂🤣... its really a hobby .. all about fun.. so I hope they make a class for these.. that's kool truck you made out of it.
HolycrAP! looks just like my brothers 1/1 scale. Loving the color and insane torque :) PS: Amazed your GPS still works, I really need to pick that one up!
It would launch harder in 4wd, which is what most of the people with diesel powered trucks run. But I don't know if that would help this go in a straighter line or not. You might try and shorten the upper links or make the lower links a bit longer on the front end to get more caster angle to help it track a little straighter. Pretty solid start I world say.
That body looks sick fair play will deffo go better with locked diffs my typhon 6s kept pulling to the left ive put 2 million diff fluid in now it goes as straight as a arrow great video as always tomley 👍 and a awesome truck
What about a trx4 rear axle with a portal delete, and the option to lock/unlock the rear end? Also an ifs front suspension swap could help with stability, as well as some extra strong sway bars lol
Hey tomley! Sick video! Do you know how I can convert the screws for the standard rims to a 17mm adapter/hex for the wheels? I kinda wanna add drag tires in the back for show cuz I love how it looks, Awesome rig 🤘
Yes sir you are correct power is nothing without control. However, a longer wheelbase such as that truck... should be more stable than a shorter wheelbase Vehicle such as a 69 Camaro.
