I've played the F8f1 heavily, and so when they downtiered it I took it out and got 4 kills and an assist my first round. The aircraft is amazing. I agree, the aircraft belongs at 5.3 at min.
It doesn't need to be down tiered it needs to be fixed to how it would fly in reality and moved to 5.7. It should turn in the more like in the 16s and it should have a rudder that works. It's real convenient all the American planes which were known for having the most powerful rudders have the worst in the game and lose theirs just before all the Russian planes rip speeds.🤨 This plane to me is terrible while being the U.S. best plane at 5.0. If moved down it will still have the same problem which is you can't aim while going fast which is how it's suppose to be flown. If anything the 6.3 version should be the one to get down tiered.
