its pretty sick how a few seconds before someones gunna try a trick he films other random stuff going on around the spot like what the other fa dudes are doing or just random people in street and then he pans over to the person doing the trick. its makes it interesting and shows you what skating in manhattan is like

Strobeccc is a gnarly filmer, prolly one of the most stylistically distinct I know of rn like the Quentin Tarantino of skateboarding. he's like regressing from everything we've been told skateboard videos are supposed to look like, fluctuating with the way skating is now, with technical skating becoming less important and standing out with style mattering more. I can't tell how I feel about this video and I'm glad
this is everything good about skateboarding, the type of skating i miss the most now that i'm older and don't have entire days of skate missions anymore. these dudes all shred so hard too, skateboarding in the year 2016 is just unbelievable
alot of the skating is wide angle still. look at the very edges of some of the lines. the thing is, wide angles are less exaggerated than "peephole" fisheyes and much more accessible. i dig it.
fisheye has been overused for a long time. It makes sense for lines and when you're skating a spot everyone knows the size of, but it's often abused on stuff like 7-10 stairs and medium sized gaps to make them look bigger. You'll notice that when someone is actually skating some giant shit or popping over something high as fuck, they'll use long lens to be like, "Yeah, it really was big as fuck. Don't need to stretch it out." Fisheye is also great for when you need a homie to film something. It's harder for them to fuck it up, since it captures such a huge range and there's less composition involved.
I saw this it was like 20 minutes long and kept putting it off. So I just watched it. Honestly, it is one of the best things "skate wise" I've seen all year. Extremely raw (extra clip wise) behind the scenes of and in the day and night life of skate'n. Mad love. Well done.
Just to think Jason Dill made up the idea of having any videos involving FA or hockey have no music is too sick!! I just like how we could hear the good old sounds of the boards hitting the ground and the sounds of the streets we as skaters always hear at the time

I don't see what's so hipster about this? I don't see them filming with VX or wearing baggy clothes pretending to be in the 90s. I don't see any black and white. The fillers should honestly be apart of skateboarding a lot more. It adds the fun to skate videos. just embrace the generation.
a good skate video makes you wanna go grab a board and skate. This truly was a great one! Chill vibe and the boys seem to get along well, I get the sort of Kids vibe as well.
I get why people think it's pretentious skating of sorts but damn the skating is good and I can't help but like their style. Plus the filming is some of the best being done currently

MOVIE not just video about tricks. In this movie i feel reel spirit of skateboarding in america and freedom of country. This freedom have all people, and mostly don't know ''what doing with this freedom'' and this pushing them into the abyss of the unknown. Awesome filmed supporting "actors" and small details. When watch this movie remember some movies like Slacker, Wackness, Short Cuts, After Hours, Apocalypse Now and Larry Clark movies. One of the best documentary, thanx.
Would've been tight to see the footage of Tyshawn and Ben hucking themselves down the LOVE fountain but it's all good. At least I got to see it in person, Tyshawn looked like Heath Kirchart in Stay Gold and it was fucking sick.
