FAA Big Statement on Starship OFT-3 Mishap! Boeing Starliner DELAYED more...
It's time for the countdown! The FAA has just issued updates on the progress of Flight 3’s mishap investigation and there's good news for Flight 4's schedule.
Next, let's talk about something you've probably heard too much about this month: another delay for the Starliner.
Meanwhile, SpaceX's Falcon 9 has just broken a new reuse record.
And our final question for today: who can save NASA on Mars?
Get ready to dive into these topics on today's episode of Great SpaceX!
FAA Big Statement on Starship OFT-3 Mishap! Boeing Starliner DELAYED more...
Well, the world is on the path toward Starship Flight 4, which will have many impacts on SpaceX and the aerospace industry. Besides following preparations at Starbase, updates from the FAA are also always our focus.
As we all know, SpaceX will have to complete FAA procedures before receiving the launch license. Recently, according to a notice I found on X, everything seems to be progressing smoothly for the SpaceX team.
Specifically, the document clearly states that this is the FAA Statement issued on May 17.
FAA Big Statement on Starship OFT-3 Mishap! Boeing Starliner DELAYED more...
The FAA said: "The FAA is responsible for and committed to protecting the public during commercial space transportation launch and reentry operations. Today, SpaceX requested that the FAA make a public safety determination as part of the ongoing investigation into the Starship OFT-3 mishap event. The FAA is reviewing the request and will be guided by data and safety at every step of the process."

One thing I noticed about StarLiner is that it has a Phobia of launch attempts and getting up there and finding out that your very prone to getting Space Sickness.

I think it’s really rich for Boeing to make suggestions to NASA concerning budget overruns. You could make a whole stand-up routine about it.

I'm glad Boeing isn't delivering mail, people would be just now getting letters from when Boeing FIRST came into existence.

I think it's impossible to put Boeing and "on-budget" in the same sentence. Boeing is notorious for going over budget. When they get there SpaceX will have an astronaut there to fix their broken rocket.

Boeing with their over costs, never delivering on time. NO, they should finish what they and ULA have already started, prove that they can finish something before getting new contracts.

Boeing can go fuck off. They have failed and should just finally give up or ask another more experienced and successful company for some help to see what's wrong

"Leak in the service module won't affect safety of launch, so you can just move ahead..." like the "cold won't affect the safety of the Space Shuttle SRBs" until it DID! I wouldn't fly on that thing on a dare. Faulty engineering, questionable QC, delay after delays, massive cost overruns and lackadaisical DEI mindset when Boeing and NASA are involved. "

If the helium leak wasn't going to affect the launch, why delay the launch because of it???

Boeing seems focused on making money, and not so much on making quality rockets. For example, what authority do engineers who work directly with the rockets have regarding decisions that affect the construction of the rockets.

How hard would be for SpaceX to use Starship to do the trip to the moon and back. Launching the astronauts in the Dragon capsule docking with a Starship variant and then going to the Moon. I know it's not that easy but could it be done and would be cheaper than what NASA's trying to do now "And Failing"

Boeing building anything capable of flying, let alone retrieving the samples collected by perseverence, is laughable unless they're proposing to send Bill Nelson in their Starliner... Now THAT is something I would like to see happen!

The FAA gave the green light to wet dress rehearsal of Starship. SpaceX can, after rehearsal, put charges of the flight termination system, as last time, this does not violate licensing rules, since the system before the launch is not active, FTS will armed after gived license for launch, in potential launch day, remotly. After WDR Starship will final destaked for FTS installation and install thermal shields, loosed on transportation time.

Gee I can't believe some of these NASA Astronauts they are selecting like Suni Williams and a few others are starting to look too old for some spaceflight missions and to me look like they should be training the next generation of Astronauts for future upcoming long endurance missions. Lucky this Boeing Starliner mission is short term where age doesn't really matter. They need a lot more younger ones coming in with more physical capabilities because as you get older you start lose your flexibility and are more prone to physical injury or illness. Not good if they hurt themselves such as get a hernia or severe muscle strain and can't perform mission required Eva tasks outside of spacecraft or conduct emergency repairs due to injury. I watched some other videos of past missions and there were not many Astronauts under 30 or 40 years of age in crews selected and many were 40 or older in age and were pilots from or still serving in the armed forces or mission specialists or scientists. Yet some of these Astronauts maybe fit and experienced and very good at what they do at age I still think if they really want to speed up and advance space science and exploration they are going to need replacements for those who retire or move on to other employment like management or training. It is not good if they don't have enough younger newer Astronauts working side by side in space picking up experience from older colleagues .

Boing wanting to help NASA return samples from Mars?? Please give that money to SpaceX. They will fly Starship there with 4 astronauts who can pick up the rover samples ... load another 20 ton of samples, build a small base using materials from the other 5-10 Starship Cargo Ships that arrived 2 years prior and do some kick ass science stuff ..... All that cutting Boings budget + overruns and years before Boing would be ready 😮😮😮🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂😂😂

All Starliner needs to be as successful as the rest of Boeing’s fleet is prayer (it’s still legal in space), a set of wings to assist the parachute(s), a swift change of administration, reliable battery technology, trays to put in the upright position and legitimate flight insurance.
