Use to bend material all the time on a break call a CONE. Unfortunately I lost my job 7 months ago, now I am at a new place grinding, clean up material. I do miss working on a break.
I've worked with these tools pretty extensively and can give them very little bad review, the only problem we have is when they get older they start leaving small bend lines where the dies conjoin, but if you put a 20ga wrap on it, it solves the problem nicely and makes a beautiful unmarred part.
Hello John, For mild steel, the thickest it can bend is 1-1/8". It varies depending on what material you are using and if you are using American or European tooling. As far as length goes, it can go as long as you want. Fab-Supply offers different models at different lengths. I hope this answers your questions. If you have any other questions please let me know. Thanks, Steve
LOVE them..on dumb machines, its impossible to put this in your tool library successfully. in any self calculating machine i've found it too much trouble to use. also this guy just throws his hand in there to change tools...know people who have lost figures that way :-/
